Great hotel right on the water in Fort Kochi, a short walk from the Chinese fishing nets and Mahatma Gandhi beach and nestled between some of the coolest spots in the area.

The rooms were clean and well-kept with great washrooms, good hot water and comfortable beds. The rooms have good WiFi, and there is seating outside the rooms and a little lounge area in the picturesque courtyard.

Guests receive a complimentary breakfast in the onsite restaurant with multiple courses, including the South Indian dish of the day, muesli/cereal and tea/coffee.

I have already stayed several times in the Fort House and enjoyed the helpful, friendly atmosphere, the beautiful view of the harbour and the fishing net on the other side. The garden and the rooms are decorated with art and you soon feel at home. The stuff was always friendly and helped us a lot when my boyfriend had problems with his flight home. They also helped us with the booking of a houseboat. The Forthouse is one of the view hotels with a view of the sea and it is opposite a cultural centre where we enjoyed an introduction to the art of Kathakali. You can also book Ayurvedic massages.

We stayed here two nights at the beginning of our trip and it was a very comfortable stay.

Positives -
The natural surroundings both inside and outside the hotel marked a beautiful beginning of our Kerala vacation. The hotel is looks excellent, very pretty and green with the hanging lanterns in the courtyard which make a beautiful sight at night.
Rooms are spacious and staff was very helpful.
View from restaurant is very beautiful.

Negatives –
The breakfast needs to be improved. Firstly, there is hardly any choice. Secondly, the service during breakfast is extremely slow - they took a long time to serve and then everything was cold. Thirdly, although their dinner was excellent, but there not much vegetarian option (my aunt is veg).
There is no TV in the room and no games/activies in the hotel, which might be a problem for many who would travel with kids.

Couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in Fort Kochi during the rainy season! Very aesthetic ambiance, wonderful food and polite staff. The neighborhood is steeped in the ancient and modern history of the spice trade and seafaring... Not to be missed at all...

I stayed there for a day and this place is just amazing. View from restaurant is very beautiful and rejuvenating. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Staff are very helpful.
Only thing is there is not much option for vegetarian people in restaurant but there are restaurant close to this place which provide good veg food.
Bathroom are big and very clean. Overall it was a memorable stay.
