The hotel is well situated in Kochi, with all sights within easy reach. It is on the waterfront and it was extremely pleasant to have breakfast and watch the ships go by. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean. the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good and we ate twice at the restaurant in the evening. The first occasion was excellent, the fish was really fresh. The second occasion was not so successful, a far too oily seafood pasta, but were busy and these things happen. The hotel is good value for the price but lose a star because of the mosquitoes. I got eaten alive despite the plug in device and tons of repellent. I asked why they did not have gekkoes around the hotel. They said they do not like having them there. They are my protectors!

Really good hotel, great food (we had both lunch and dinner here) and a superb location - perfect for exploring Fort Cochin.
Staff were all really helpful, and despite our 5am start were happy to prepare a packed breakfast for us to take to the airport.
We spent the entire day seeing the sights of Fort Cochin (if you're happy to walk, you can still cover all the top sights within an afternoon). We then spent the evening at the Cultural Village directly opposite the hotel - this comes highly recommended if you want to catch a Khatakhali performance.
Rooms were immaculate and very comfortable, and for the price, fantastic value!

Room Tip: Would definitely recommend eating at the restaurant here - the food was great!

This is a lovely place right on the Kochi waterfront...we spent the new year here. First the positives...the location is perfect...right on the Kochi waterfront but somewhat away from the din and bustle of fort Kochi...walking distance from the centre point...the Chinese fishing nets and a short auto ride/somewhat longish walk away from the other attractions such as the old Jew town and the Dutch palace...the food is yummy...right from freshly sourced seafood to tasty breakfasts and evening snacks...we only ate out a couple of times during our three night stay...and the view on the restaurant complements the food perfectly...you can spend hours just sitting there watching the boats go by...the service is also very nice...they are very amiable and prompt in addressing any issues....the rooms were somewhat basic...minimal furnishings...a cupboard would really help to store stuff...we also attended the new year's eve party...the food was nice but the staff created some confusion by not clearly declaring what was included/not included in the party package...but overall a very nice property with nice gardens...

Room Tip: Go for the first floor rooms...ask for Room 9 if available...

We arrived at the Fort House after a long, tiring journey in the wee small hours of the morning, absolutely shattered. Even though we had not booked for that night, we were shown straight to a lovely room in the new block, and were not charged for that day. Great start, and it got even better.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this small, beautiful hotel which is in stunning grounds with a fabulous restaurant perched over the water with loads of activity to keep us interested over breakfast.

The room was spacious and clean, but a small niggle is that if you are staying here for long, there is not much hanging space, - we only stayed for four nights though so this was not a real issue or us. The staff were friendly, polite and very attentive throughout our stay, and did everything to make us feel welcome.

The food at the restaurant was superb, we very rarely eat at the same place on short visits as we like to try new, different places but it was so good that we ate there every night!

The on site ayurvedic centre is great too - monitored by an on call doctor and the massages were totally relaxing and good value.

Nothing very much at all to say which is at all negative about this place - it is well situated to explore Old Kochin , and we would highly recommend it Thanks for a great stay.

Room Tip: Ask for an end terrace room to minimise any noise from the neighbouring rooms - the mosque is right next door but we found the noise from that strangely peaceful!
