I am an academic with Research Interest in the history of Fort Cochin . Very fortunate to visit the area fairly frequently, about five times each year. Ever since I became aware of Old Light House Bristow Hotel and its owners and management,I have not looked at any other hotels in For Cochin as no one can hold a candle to this gem: historic, reeking of memories of glory days and its unique position by the sea and wonderful staff at the Front Desk and the dining hall. I do not long for european food when I am in India and have discussed and provided excellent local food . The fact that my multiple visits have been without problems shows the extra care the staff puts into all pleasant visitors to the hotel, as I have made some friends among the guests over the course of the year. All of them without exception sing songs of praise for this exceptional find in Cochin or Kerala for that matter. I highly recommend this hotel and special thanks to the drivers and the management. On more than one occasion the manger had come to pick me up at the airport along with the driver. This old world charm and hospitality has long been dead in other parts of the worldMore
