A terrific experience

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 20 Dec 2019via mobile
I highly recommend the hotel where I stayed several days. It s run by a qualified staff - well organized and extremely friendly. I stayed in a Garden View room - very clean, comfortable and calm. The food is delicious, the waiters very professional, friendly and helpful.
Many interesting excursions are proposed. I recommend to ask after Manuel the hotel s driver. He takes you to many interesting places in Kochi and surroundings. He speaks English fluently and has experience with foreigners.
I also appreciated the Spa which propose a large choice of treatments. I can recommend as well Johnson Pallickel the operations head of the Spa.
The location of the hotel is excellent - everything nearby. If you are in Kochi don t miss to go to the OLD LIGHTHOUSE BRISTOW HOTEL!

We loved our 3 night stay at the Old Lighthouse Bristow. We stayed in a garden view room, which despite being the cheapest room was lovely, light and spacious with a huge bathroom and bath if you were so inclined. The hotel itself has a lovely, old world charm and you can definitely feel the history being there, plus the location overlooking the sea just can't be beaten. I was very pleasantly surprised by the pool area, it is small and could benefit from a couple of extra pool lounges but it's impeccably clean and the setting amongst the garden is just gorgeous. We spent several mornings relaxing there and then sitting at the sea side lounge enjoying a couple of beers.

The food is also delicious, we ate there multiple times and everything was great. You can even get bacon for breakfast.

Lastly the service was awesome. For instance on our first night when we went to sit outside, our waiter followed us out to bring us insect repellent because of the mosquitoes. Super thoughtful. Everyone was like this, right up until we left, after enjoying the facilities for several hours after we officially checked out, at the staff's behest. My only critique would be that they need an extra staff member working the outdoor lounge in the afternoon because the poor guy doing that shift was run off his feet.

We enjoyed it so much, we're considering leaving our current accommodation and going back to the lighthouse for one more night. Highly recommended.

We arrived after a long flight from Shanghai and we’re welcomed by Manuel at the airport. On our way to the hotel Manuel shared great information for our stay in Kerala.
The hotel is a bliss, wonderful, spacious rooms, fantastic location with great views. The hotel staff are most friendly and the restaurant serves delicious, authentic meals.
We took a spa treatment (full body massage and foot massage) in their spa. Johnston, Jessie and Yosemi were very professional.
Manuel drove us to our next location (Kumarakom) and made all efforts to take a scenic route to show us beautiful Kerala

I spent three very pleasant days in this beautiful colonial house very well located in Fort Koshi. The food in the restaurant is delicious. I particularly appreciated the service: as my room above the kitchen was noisy I was changed immediately without problems. I was able to book my train tickets thanks to the manager. Special mention for the driver Manuel who is an excellent driver, friendly, full of good advice. He even accompanied me to the platform of the station to be certain that I was not in the wrong train. I really appreciated !

We really enjoyed our stay at this boutique hotel. The rooms are a good size and well equipped with all the expected amenities. The staff were excellent and the food was good. I especially like the atmosphere created by the colonial theme and the waterside location. The garden and pool area are very pleasant.
I would happily choose this hotel for my next visit to Kochi.

We stayed here for 1 day and our stay was so pleasant. Everything is so perfect about this place- view, courteous staff and an amazing hospitality. If you want to stay in Fort Kochi then this is "the" place for you. We are definitely going to visit again.
