We booked an overnight stay on a premium houseboat with Prasanthy houseboat. We had a great relaxing time watching the scenery go by, bird watching, village life and a thunderstorm and lightning show. They pulled over and we bought a duck from a duck farm for the chef to cook for that night's dinner as we fancied something different. The food was excellent and very tasty. The boat itself was clean and comfortable, the bathroom is looking a little worn though and the hot water wasn't working ( a common occurence in India we've found ) which didn't bother us too much. may be next time we'll book the luxury boat.
Our stop overnight was in an area away from other houseboat and very private. The only thing is I wished I'd carried some mozzie repellent as they visited in the evening.

I had a terrible experience with Pickadly Royal Houseboat. It was a nightmare. They have 3 people as caretakers. 1 is a ship captain, 1 is Manager and 1 Cook. The cook started his drink. His mouth smelled of alcohol. He was drunk by the evening. Even the manager drank a peg, which he confessed. Pickadly charges around INR25000, but the service is not even worth INR 25.
The bathroom does not even has basic toiletries. The toilet paper roll was used and hardly had any toilet paper left. The bath tub was stinky. It is strange that they have separate rooms for bedding, dining and TV room. All have AC's, but they can switch only 1 at a time. It is ironic that 8 room accommodation houseboats have all the aAC's running simultaneously, while in this Royal Suite, only 1 can run at a time.
food quality is very bad. There are no options. You have to bear with whatever is available and whims and fancy of the Chef. Even the food was limited to 1 serving.
Total waste of money and time. Never ever take this Royal Suite Option. I would rather say, dont take Pickadly service for anything. It is rather advisable to drop the plan for Alleppy if there are no stay options available either in houseboat or Resorts other than Pickadly. Otherwise you will be left with no option once the houseboat departs and spend the night with fear and trouble.

We booked prasanthy houseboat for a family holiday to the back waters. It was an amazing experience for us and Mr.Prasanthy made sure it was an extremely unforgettable one. We were looked after immensely well and shown places that were beautiful. The village life on the banks , the famous churches and markets were an integral part of this route that was planned for us . We extend our thanks to him and to his well behaved and friendly staff who made this trip an enjoyable one .
This trip will remain our best trip so far .

" We approached Go Geo for kerala tour package of 7 nights for 5 couples. Renu and Albert helped promptly for tour planning and we could finalise quickly with them. 12 seater vehicle provided by them was good. Hotel given at Kochi was good. Hotel at munnar was good. Hotel at allepy was good. Hotel at kanyakumari was good. Reosrt of kovalam was good except the cottage which has bathroom outside bed room and open, which all females disliked. We were not happy with driver who use to talk very less and his role as Guide was very very poor. Go Geo staff never took efforts to communicate with us during tour. My expectation was they should have communicated every day with us once daily and they should have informed important instruction for next day in advance at least by SMS. They never highlighted few important information.. For example that we should reach Kanyakumari before 4 pm to see vivekanad rock memorial. Not providing one small information completely messed our next schedule and we suffered a lot for next two days. They also did not helped us well in visit to padmanabham temple(Open timings, dress code) and we had to waste a lot of time and so we got less time to enjoy in kovalam(poovar) beach hotel. Demand for remaining payment which we were supposed to pay on day 1 was also a bad memory( Not handled properly). "
