We went to Alappuzha for the backwater journey on our houseboat which was pre-booked. We reached in the afternoon on the bank of the river and went to our private houseboat. It was beautiful, clean and tidy. For 3-4 hours we sailed on the backwaters before coming to a halt in the evening.
Though sunny, the weather was not as humid. It was comfortable. The whole journey depicted the life of village people who live along the banks of the river. Huts, churches, shops are along the banks. Small boats are docked by the banks and are used for fishing by local people. There are restaurants and coffee shops where you can halt. Beyond the houses you could see the head covered farmers working on the green paddy fields. The coconut and mango trees are leaning over the river casting dark shadows as the sun sets.
We had an overnight halt on the houseboat and in the morning we went for morning walk to see the huts and the paddy fields.
We were served lunch, evening snacks, dinner and breakfast cooked by the staff of the boat. Food was authentic south indian and tasty. Staff members were very kind and friendly.
You will experience peace tricking down your heart when you go for the journey. The picturesque landscape will be imprinted for a long time in your mind.

As an International Travel and Tourism Specialist and Destination Adviser; I have selected this summer with my wife to share the Backwaters great experience and embark on a houseboat cruise from Backwater Ripples hotel pier. We cannot but to express our big pleasure and enthusiasm during this fascinating trip, exploring the lush greenery, the idyllic landscape and the remote villages all along. we have contemplated a unique scenery and highly recommend this trip to families, couples and holiday makers visiting India. It is a must of musts.

The houseboat that we got was not that great. I guess it was 'Rosey' (not sure though). The bed sheets were used and bathrooms were dirty. We were expecting some yum food but the cook was not that great. In fact the food was pretty bad. I would suggest to spend a little more and go for a nicer houseboat because you will have to stay there for an entire day and one night, in the middle of nowhere. So it is really should be comfortable.

Dear team,

I happen to avail your services through Raisoone travels from Chennai(Mr.Ranjan)/Galaxy Holidays -Kerala.

This is my first vacation with family , since we usually prefer going to temples for Vacation.

Marvel cruise back waters was enjoyable and Pleasant.

Food was good and enjoyable. The Crue members Mr.Nataraj and Mr Sojan made us feel like home.. Nataraj chetta cooking was awesome and homely. We had a pleasant experience and my family enjoyed it.

One small challenge is , Since our boat had NO Closed windows, During dinner we had problem of insects flying around , which was not so good. But except this, The crue, service and experience was so good and fantastic

Hope to visit again for next trip , since my Dad already asked me to book again twice!!

Keep up the good work...!!
