Basic hotel, at a great location. 500m from the Hermit beach in Someshwar (close to Mangalore). The sea is rough here. However, quite calm & less populated, quite clean as well. Very close to the Someshwar temple.

Rooms: Very few rooms are sea facing. Rooms seemed clean. The staff was kind enough to offer us 2 different rooms & choose. The hotel seemed pretty empty. We chose the loft room. Yes, it is a little inconvenient as you have to climb the last spiraling stairs. The staff is happy to carry your luggage up there though. The views are terrific though - very airy & great light. The houses nearby are not more than 1-2 storied & hence gives you a great view of nearby places in all directions. Bathroom was good & spacious. Clean, had running hot water all the time. No issues with that. Lot of mosquitoes in the night though (we preferred to keep the loft windows open). Should ideally provide a good mosquito repellent in the room. The barking street dogs also compromised the sleep quality (nothing that the hotel can do about it).

This hotel is in a small village locality. There were no restaurants nearby. The biggest disappointment of this place was the food. We had taken the breakfast + dinner package from MMT. The hotel was small & sparsely populated. Hence, there is no buffet. You have to keep reminding the staff of the package & ask them (ideally, the staff should tell you whats included). When asked about the meals, they seemed confused. For both breakfast & dinner we were asked what we would like to have. The portions were very limited. For dinner, when we asked for more & were okay to pay extra, the person serving mentioned they cannot get us more. The veggie we ordered clearly tasted like a ready to eat packaged one. Since there are no visitors at the restaurant, its almost dead & cooks only very limited for the guests on the property. Given the location & the ambiance of the restaurant (its as lovely as in the pics), it was a real disappointment. Since there are no other options as well nearby to eat, the restaurant lets the experience here down totally. Else, the staff was prompt & courteous. It seemed like a very new place & the interiors were tastefully done.

Overall, for a budget hotel, if you can get by the food & manage it, it seemed like a good place. All the best to the team & hope they are able to do justice to this lovely place.

Room tip: Go for the loft. Airy & has the best views in the hotel.

The staff there are really great. Very warm and friendly.

If you are travelling with small children and Sr. citizens, stick to 1st or 2nd floor only. the 3rd floor rooms are actually on the roof top so to access that you need to climb the spiral steps.

Food is really sad. We had to eat cold dinner and a breakfast that never came on time so had to cancel the order.

Room tip: The sea view rooms with balcony are better than only sea view rooms.

Its a hotel situated close to someshwar beach which is 0.5km away. Closest seashore is just 200m from the hotel. We stayed in deluxe room. Amenities provided were delighter but we didnt make use of it as we were not aware of it while booking. Microwave oven, toaster, kettle, mini fridge were available. Bathroom was not so big but clean. They dont have a full fledged restaurant but they had kitchen where they will prepare food based on order. Food will take some time but hot and tasty. Quantity will not be sufficient so you have to order more based on your appetite Breakfast was complentary and you can order two dishes which we felt was not sufficient. they have many activity available but we didnt have time as we reached late in the evening and checked out in the morning. Can enjoy if you stay was longer. They have sufficient route marking on the way so it was easier for spotting the hotel.

Good location.
Very close to the beach. Hermit beach is 200 mts away and Someshwar Beach at 500 mts.
Well managed property with clean rooms, comfortable beds and absolute value for money.
Staff are courteous and provided excellent service. A special thanks to Prakash for helping us with all of my queries.
Quality & taste of the food provided for dinner was excellent.

The wait time for serving food could have been better.

Room tip: Sea view rooms tend to get warm because of the direct sunlight during the evening, though they offer a good view.
