A great way to escape the bustle of Bangalore and experience the countryside close up. I was picked up from my hotel at 06:30. We drove out of town and started with breakfast. The ride was not strenuous - about 25km with plenty of stops - and included:
- Nandi temple
- Silk farm
- Pottery
- Colonial railway station
- Marigold fields
- and many other points of interest...
The tour ended with a tasty lunch. Tej is a wonderful and knowledgable guide who makes you feel welcome and informed throughout. If you are not a regular cyclist don't be put off. The Nandi Hills ride is very gentle and truly unique. Do it!

The company offers many other tours that sound excellent.

Wanted to do something fun and adventurous for our Anniversary. We came across Unventured through internet. The idea of tours on bi-cycle is really nice. It was totally a new and lovely experience. We enjoyed the tour thoroughly. Gurudeep is an excellent company to keep with. I was a little apprehensive about bicycling after almost 15 yrs. but he made sure I was totally comfortable. The Temple, the railway station, the age old tradition of silk extraction, all with their histories were really very interesting. Pottery was a real prize winner. Also we would like to thank our awesome hosts Praveen and Meera for the warm welcome and delicious food.
Thank you Unventured, specially Guru to have made our Anniversary so special. Totally worth it.

I did two tours with them with a group. The Bike Nandy tour was amazing, everybody loved it. And the same is true for the Bangalore Tuk-tuk tour. In addition, the guides were wonderful, understanding, on top of what they were doing. It was a memorable day. I will do it again next year with the next group!!

We had a marvelous day with Tej biking around the Nandi Hills. We started with a delicious and healthy breakfast with the most gracious hosts at Silver Oak, then off on our tour where we saw silk production and tried our hand at pottery. Mid ride we stopped for fresh coconut milk and even saw monkeys eating tomatoes! We ended the ride and had an outstanding buffet lunch complete with over a dozen varieties of pickles. We learned all about India and spent a lovely day in the countryside. It was perfect!

Wonderful day spent with Unventured! I was an a business trip and after spending my week in the office, I was really looking forward to get out of the bustling city. I was picked up at my hotel and we drove to Nandhi hills where we started with breakfast at a local farm. After breakfast we cycled through the villages around Nandi hills and visited locals making silk, a potter and also a wonderful Hindu temple, where the oldest parts date back to the early 9th century. We finished the trip at the organic farm with a fabulous lunch, served on a terrace overlooking the lush countryside. Gurudeep was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable. He is great explaining history, culture and engaging with local people. He also makes you feel very safe on the road. The bikes are in excellent condition. It was wonderful cycling through the countryside, amongst eucalyptus trees and with so many things to see along the road. This trip really gave me a flavour of India. If I am back, I will definitely choose Unventured again
