I thought I came here to learn to teach yoga. In fact what I came away with was so much more. This isn't just a yoga retreat, it is a journey. I've learned so much and experienced so much beauty and spirituality at Shrimath, words cannot do it justice. It has been a remarkable journey of self discovery. Although I have only just scratched the surface, I have come away with tools to continue this in my everyday life.
I confess even in spite of near perfect reviews I was reticent as a single female travelling to remote place without a 'personal' recommendation but it far exceeded all expectations. Krishna answered all questions promptly and tirelessly. I felt welcomed, nurtured and so honoured to be a part of this wonderful, genuinely loving and dedicated family. I cannot thank them enough for the three weeks (which literally flew by).
Thank you Krishna, Smrithi, Hema, Vanitha, Shoba, Kumar and Ravi for the invaluable teachings, for the delicious food, for the beautifully kept rooms and grounds and generally for all the care and love you showed us all... And to the local school children who made each day a blessing with their infectious sense of joy and appreciation and those beautiful smiling faces! I look forward to returning.
I highly recommend Shrimath Yoga to anyone considering a genuine, traditional, informed, intellectually stimulating, challenging, non-denominational teaching experience, .More
