Visited Tomatina restaurant around March 2012. Could not post the review at that time as the Restaurant was not listed in Tripadvisor. Thanks to tripadvisor for including this.
A visually appealing ambience. There are two options, one to sit inside and the other with some open air. We opted to seat inside. When we were there, a live telecast of some cricket match was being shown in the big TV. If you want to watch a match and have food, you may have to sit in such a strategic place though.
Really good service. From the time of leading us to the seats, till wishing us good night, the service was really great. We also had the manager come up to us once and enquire about the food. Really high rating here.
While some of the dishes we ordered were really good, some was average. The Nachos given as starters were plain and it would have been better if it was added with some salad or toppings. We ordered Bagara Baingan, Sarson Ka Saag and Tokri. Bagara Baingan was really tasty and Sarson Ka Saag also was good. The Rotis in Tokri were very small and we were not very satisfied with it. (Would suggest they increase the size or Rotis in the Tokri or don't provide it just for name sake)
However the star attraction I had was Fried Ice Cream. Its really a different experience and felt awesome. I don't want to give a description and spoil the surprise of that. After the food, one fried ice cream may have to be shared by two people.
Reasonable cost. Service Charges extra in the bill. So no tips are expected ;)
I would certainly recommend this restaurant to the pure veg lovers.
