After a short trip to Delhi we were very happy to stay at Villa Camelot – the Oasis of Harmony and Joy!

Hospitable hosts, Raghu and Yamini, provided us a LARGE and VERY clean room and bathroom, tasty breakfast and nice company in the evenings!

They were very helpful with finding routs, booking bus tickets and as far as the football championship was going on they invited us to watch matches on TV together with tasty popcorn and passionate cheering!

BTW there is a nice place on the ground floor to find a Lighthouse Cafe with welcoming owners and special menu.

Next time we are in Bangalore we will undoubtedly prefer to stay at Villa Camelot!!!

I stayed at Villa Camelot last year. I booked 3 nights and ended up staying 28! (I had planed to change housing but stayed instead). Villa Camelot is a beautiful villa with two generous terraces. At the ground level you will find their own restaurant. It is nicely decorated and has a lovely ambiance. They cook the food themselves with carefully selected fresh ingredients, their food is divine.. The rooms are tastefully decorated and brings in a lot of light (very clean and neat). This family love people! They have a few rooms for long term guests and a few rooms for short term guests. The long stayers are mostly Indian. Should you choose to eat dinner with them (highly recommended) all the guests eats together and it provides for very interesting discussions. You can also eat in their restaurant at the ground floor, which is equally recommended. This family is warm, friendly and will make you feel at home. They are very accommodating and they walk the extra mile to ensure you have a good stay in Bangalore. What I love the most about Villa Camelot is that its a refuge in a very quiet neighbourhood. You can stay there and relax, enjoy good food, do yoga in a beautiful atmosphere before heading out exploring Bangalore. Not to mention, you get to enjoy this lovely family. A highly and warmly recommended experience!

Our stay with Yamini and Raghu was truely fabulous! A warm welcoming family, with a passion to meet new people and exchange. From the practical organization of our daily activities and trips across the city and in the vicinity, to deep philosophical and political debates around a great vegetarian meal in their homely kitchen: everything was just perfect. Raghu, Yamini and Dhairya will remain in our heart for ever and Villa Camelot is like a home for us in Bangalore. Leïla, Sanam and Maryam

Room tip: It is a budget hotel by its price but it is an exquisite place that feels like home. Worths 100 luxury stays.

I was on a long stay at Villa Camelot from Jan 2017 to Sept 2017. A job transfer found me househunting in Bangalore in Jan 2017. With 2 days left on my company paid accommodation and limited success on the house search, Villa Camelot came to me as if it was preordained.

Villa Camelot is a Bed and Breakfast run by Yamini and Raghuveer Khanna, with ample support from their precocious 10 year old son, Dhairya, and 4 pets – Buddy, Patch, Brandy and Bailey.
Large, contemporary rooms, well maintained & spotless, a common use washing machine, optional wi-fi and delicious breakfast & dinner rustled up by Raghu is a catalog description of what Villa Camelot offers. Dinner is served in the common family dining area to encourage meeting with the other guests.
It is centrally located in Whitefield, Bangalore which is a bustling mixed use suburb with numerous IT and technology firms, residences, schools etc. etc. Villa Camelot is about 20 minutes walking distance from supermarkets, gymnasiums, restaurants and a fairly large mall.

What no catalog will tell you however, is the warmth and sunshine that Raghu and Yamini have infused in their venture. Hotel type rooms with the welcome feeling of waking up in your own home – that is Villa Camelot. You want to run back home at the end of the day.

Raghu runs his restaurant Humsa Kaun on the ground floor of the property. He dishes out lip smacking and (paradoxically), healthy Punjabi food. Freshly made meals with hot rotis at the end of a hard days work makes all the difference.
And does he have a knack for making sweets! Do try the wheat halwa and custard. It will leave you begging for more, even on a filled tummy. Raghu is your quintessential do it all guy - Taking care of the property, making sure that all utilities work, and running the restaurant….He does it all without a sweat and always, always with a smile.

Yamini is your renaisannace woman cum mother figure. She runs a tight ship without ever letting the care component slip up. I was appearing for a few examinations during this time and Yamini went out of her way to order and setup a new study table in my room, without me asking for it. Yamini herself is a great cook (when she is in the mood) and can cook up some fantastic continental food. Oh yeah….she also finds time to participate in car rallies, after all this. An enthusiastic driver to the core, as well.

Their well mannered little son Dhairya, is a champ at Lego and Minecraft. The family room is filled with his little creations and he enthusiastically shows them off.

My 9 months here zipped by in happy memories of always smiling, always caring hosts, over-joyous, welcoming barks of their pets, and long conversations over endless cups of tea, late into the night on topics ranging from politics, ancient history, religion, yoga,…well, basically everything under the sun.
Coming back home, every evening to Villa Camelot is the one thing I absolutely looked forward to.

I could go on and on....
At its core, Villa Camelot is a home with a heart and I look forward to coming back.

Cheers!!!

Room tip: All rooms are great.

There are no words that can adequately respond to such a deluge of heart warming description of Villa Camelot and it's people.
Having said that, we would like to thank you for being a most wonderful inclusion of our extended family, for taking out precious time end of every tiring day to spend with us and be part of Villa Camelot moments, making them a memory for life.
One thing still remains on the 'to do' list..... a day trip to the Kolar Hills, which you missed twice !
We miss our evening post dinner banter, and it will be some time before we get used to your absence (including little Buddy).
Needless to say, you will remain in our hearts, and we wish you all the success in life that you are so well deserving of.

Abundance & Light,

Yamini, Raghu, Dhairya, Buddy, Patch & the gang.

We stayed here close to two months . We stayed in a room at the top floor which had an attached washroom ,balcony and was airconditioned . They offer free wifi to guests. We could walk across to the terrace . The room ( and also the washroom, balcony ) was spacious, neat and clean . The rooms are cleaned regularly with a change in bedsheets, towels every week. The entire get up of the room is changed each month .

Breakfast is part of the package and you start the day with a sumptuous breakfast - think huge punjabi parathas, or idlis ( 8!!) or set dosas or a continental breakfast of eggs toast or sandwich ..

You may take a package for dinner or order a la carte in Raghu's restaurant Humsa Kaun on the ground floor. Either way you get homely and delicious food made from scratch each evening .. which feels so good as after sometime restaurant food day after day gets on your nerves, not to mention your digestion.

A common washing machine takes care of laundry. As per my package I could use their microwave and refrigerator. Most rooms have their own television set. You can get your clothes ironed by the traditional 'istriwsla' in the next lane . Medical shop, a supermarket Loyal city, a shop for printing and photocopying is a brisk twenty minute walk away . So is a gym and yoga centres. ( in fact you can join yoga classes right at Villa Camelot each weekday morning if you are home) . Forum value mall and a large hospital Columbia Asia for entertainment and emergencies respectively are two kms away. Two larger happening malls Phoenix Market City and VR mall at Mahadevpura are half an hour by taxi.

These are the incidentals .. what is value for money and the soul is, it feels closest to home .... Yamini Raghu and their handsome kid Dhairya genuinely enjoy people and are caring ... it feels good to start the day welcomed by their overjoyous exuberant pet Buddy (being welcomed joyously by a pet each time you step into the house is what defines home to me) ... having breakfasts ( and dinners) in the dining room over spirited conversations with the family and the family extension ( the other homestay guests) ... the living room is always open for a chat , endless cups of tea , saying hello to their personal guests , joining in family celebrations , assisting you in resolving any problems which may arise ...

And did I say they are wonderful human beings .. Buddy and the other three pets they house on their grounds are all rescue pets .. one is totally blind, one is partially blind, Buddy is part of a litter left heartlessly on the road by a puppy churning mill as they did not meet the pure bred specifications ... and there are a group of street dogs too they feed ( and break up their fights with a roar from their kitchen window) ... one of them Artoo generously adopted us as his human , escorting us to and fro through his area ☺️☺️

Totally overwhelming words of praises....... ! A big Thank You for kind appreciation of our hospitality. We enjoyed equally hosting you and your family, and continue to miss the enlightening conversations and the lighter 'Chai Gossips' :)
We hope you will visit Bangalore again some day, and give us the opportunity to be of service.

Lots of love and well wishes from 'All' the family members of Villa Camelot!

Abundance & Light,
Yamini
