“ooh la la time - gr8 to unwind”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 February 2012

it was a gr8 weekend trip to WonderLa last Saturday..It was just the two of us and we started early to avoid the traffic in Mysore road.It took us an hour from JP nagar via Kanakpura road,NICE road and Mysore road.ticket counters opened sharp at 10.45 & we rushed in at 11..first a few rides to pump up and prepare for the exhiliriating thrills coming up..after some rides, we went for the 'Free fall' ..& gosh! it was amazing..just beside were 3 monsters - Maverick, Y-scream and another 1..tried the 'maverick' and it is an experience ..need to try it to get the real thrill..u'll forget all the banalities of life & it'll leave u wanting for more..after such heart-wrenching rides, we went for the water-schutte ..Giant wheel was good..contrary to what it seemed like, it was sort of cool, slow-paced ride ..just to relax yourself a bit..we had lunch @Chillies..good stuff..nothing gr8..nothing bad either..i had a meal & my wife had noodles..always try to eat less while in WonderLa coz u might belt it out in of the rides if u r too much stuffed..
next post-luch; we ventured into the water rides - each better than the other..the thrills are less than the maniac dry rides but u'll tend 2 enjoy more..we tried the branded kraits- try them in all shapes and form - together, solo..a must try is the solo one where they put just a flip kinda stuff in the back and u go down and down..try the boomerang or pendulum if u r a couple..then we plunged into the wave pool & almost spend 45 mins in it..some guys will be around to take ur photos which u can get at the exit..it's a bit costly but the underwater ones are pretty cool..finally drove back home & guess what- we were hell tired physically but were refreshed as ever mentally..a much deserved break..

A good break from the hustle and bustle of city life without travelling too much out of city. Great for families with kids who need a real break without travelling too much from city (Bangalore)

“Not bad for a family day out in limited Bangalore!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2012

I went to Wonderla with my two children 14 & 10 on Sunday and overall I would rate it as a positive experience. I went with some trepidation after my innovative film city debacle (see review). However, I was pleasantly surprised on arrival as the first impression was ok.

Information boards clearly display content / pricing / activities both in Kannada and English so no issues working out pricing. Entrance is based on height levels so my two were charged adult price so be aware if you have taller children!

Entry was painless and it was nice to be given a map so you know where you are going. I would suggest its easier to give it with the ticket issue, but that's not a negative, just a suggestion to keep the people flow!

Rides were relatively easy to access, all with good crowd control mechanisms and queuing flow. Average ride wait was about 8 to 10 minutes, as of course it was a Sunday and peak day. Lots of male 'groups' running about which can be a little intimidating for the younger kids, but they were boisterous but generally well behaved.

My kids went on all the "Blood Rush" rides and were very happy as repeated on several and I myself ventured for a few of the milder ones that would not cause me to visit the medical center!

We had lunch in a pizza shop ( Not pizza hut as I could not see one on site as was mentioned in another reply) but it was edible and did the trick for two hungry mouths. Other food options are there but are limited in their appeal and selection. Strange there were no burger or hotdog outlets or even corn or chaat / dosas etc as I know that they would get much better revenue for a wider selection. Anyway, no concerns on that side. Also Ice cream available in multiple locations which was handy.

Only negatives I would say were the condition of the pools. The main wave pool, yes was busy, but the color of the water was a concern and for sure I would not have permitted the kids in there.

However, in fairness to the location, it did not detract from the experience as I had not planned for the kids to use that facility.

All in all, I would say that Wonderla is one of the better attractions in Bangalore and for sure if you wanted to take the kids out and burn some of their unbounded energy for a day, this is the place to do it.

“People enjoy the rides and stuff, but not for the low-immunity folks”

Went with a large group, and everyone enjoyed themselves with the various rides, the wave pool, rain dance, etc. Some got sick later, seemed with water-borne infections.
