“Sense of pride in the Air”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 December 2011

Fighter Jets...Combat Helicopters....Radars....Missiles..........
you frequently get to hear about these deadly machines but Aerospace Museum is one place where you get to TOUCH them....Doesn't it sound exciting??Just imagine yourself touching a Fighter Jet or a Strategic Bomber ( MIG, Sukhoi and many more) which shot down several enemy aircrafts within fraction of seconds.
HAL Aerospace Museum is spread across several acres of land showcasing the Mechanical Heros of Air and the glorious history of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL).Apart from Aircrafts and Fighter Jets, the museum also nicely exhibits the crucial parts of an aircraft (Engine,Wings, Black Box...) along with elaborate explanations as to the functioning of each of them. The Picture Gallaries nicely show the evolution and development of HAL.These gallaries also give an idea about how the vision of one man (Shri Walchand Hirachand -pioneer of HAL) has changed the way the Indian Air Force protects the country and will protect...
This place is a must on all tourists' radars ( the museum exhibits Radars as well-:)

Connectivity:
HAL Aerospace museum is located on Old Airport Road. State Run AC Volvo Buses take you to the destination at a max.cost of Rs.30.

Entry Fee: Very Nominal..Photography allowed at mimimum additional charges

Food:There is a small cafeteria sort of arrangement within the premise but the food options are very limited.

“Good Museum”

This is a small albeit good and well maintained museum. While i doesnot have many of the latest aeroplanes, it does have a stunning collection of old photographs (in galleries) and models. It is pretty well maintained too
