I have been and stayed in many places, THIS IS THE MOST UNIQUE one. I am in absolute AWE of the architect and the thought process went in to making this stunning resort. Right inside a CAVE, it gives you goosebumps right from the very start.

They said it was a barren land and everything was constructed, IF its true, i would like to touch the feet of its creator.

MUD sealing, real tree trunks and branches inside rooms, spooky amazing bathrooms, stunning rooms and every THING used in it to make it look so life like, I just cannot get enough of it.

And yes, it has: Wifi, Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, Dart, Swimming Pool with water fall, Rain Dance with DJ, Volleyball, Cycling, Quad Bikes, Billiards, Paint Ball, Zorb ball, Horse Riding, Trampoline, Bullride, Zipline, Burma Loops, Commando Bridge, BonFire. Amazing Amphitheatre, Samvaad Conference Room, Agastya Kuteera for SPA.

Location: 40 kms from Bangalore Main City
Food: OK.
Ambiance: Soooooo good
Swimming Pool: Amazing
Dining Area: Really soothing near the Amphi Theatre. NOT THE FOOD COURT
Service: 90/100

Don't think twice. GO FOR IT.

Room Tip: I have never seen anything like it.

Spent a day at Guhantara. Did not book a room and stay overnight.

So you have the weekend and have no better ideas, Guhantara does deserve a visit. For mainly one reason, its theme, caves, is where the money lies...

The property is truly worth seeing and the landscaping is nice. It has pools that you can have fun in. The main one, that appears like a subterranean pond is great fun. For city-slickers, there are open spaces to play cricket, volleyball and other outdoor games and basic indoor games like TT, carom etc. You have to pay for the zipline, rope bridge, and the other cooler stuff like the power bike and paint gun. But its all very basic. Very basic. They have a horse too and you are allowed to ride for a fee. A short trip... They have tried to cover a lot of ground, but its mainly 'skimming' stuff.

The food was average to high average. Staff was courteous. Cutlery, plastic and melamine. Toilets were clean but wet, if you know what I mean. Basic.

They have the rain dance in the main cavern. The DJ was nice. Music was local and the crowd liked it.

The only thing that put me off completely is that they have a bar and some of the crowd couldn't hold themselves well post a couple of drinks.. So we had this hooting and shouting and stuff that may put off some families who would have hoped for better ambience and company. Not that anyone misbehaved, but then I was uncomfortable and so was the wife. It's a free world but we had some folks dancing in their vests and all... after all it was a rain dance...

Overall, a place you must visit once. Go in a group so that you have your own crowd. Be 'liberal' about other's taste of clothing and ways of expressing joy and excitement. Don't expect the moon.

Dear management, you have a great place and a great team. Maybe you should reconsider the liquor part. Some folks cannot handle it. Have some basic dress code for the pool and dance floor. And folks with families aren't too comfortable being around with loud and drunk boisterous groups of guys. Solve that and you'll be one helluva place to visit again and again.
