“Good, family run resturant”

This resturant is humble and tasty. The decor is minimal, the service friendly, the food tasty and cheap. The highlight was definately the vege sizzler, the best I had in Leh. But all the dishes we ordered had good portion sizes and were enjoyable. Definately worth a visit.

It's a small restaurant on the Fort road. Do not expect great service as it is run by an old women. Who along with some help, prepares and serves food.

We tried Veg cheese fried momos and Veg. Thukpa in Tibetan and other Chinese varieties. The quantity and taste were noteworthy.

A caveate: The restaurant claims to be pure veg. but serves eggs too. Probably because eggs are part of vegetarian Tibetan diet. If you are pure vegetarian, cross-check before placing order whether your dish contains eggs.

we chanced upon Tenzin Dickey on our first night in Leh. After being bowled over by the Tibetan food in Darjeeling earlier in the year, we were hoping for similar quality in Leh.
Generally, we weren't disappointed - but the highlight was easily this little family-run place. we must have eaten here a good couple of dozen times in our 3 week stay in Leh; the food was the best Tibetan we have eaten in India, the prices were pretty cheap, and the service was always good.
i really can't say anything more to recommend Tenzin's.
if you're in Leh, make sure you consider it for a really good budget meal.

On Fort road this small restaurant is the place to eat authentic tibetan food.
The people who run it are really nice
Just try their chowmein or potatoe cheese momos
