Atmospheric stay in a functional palace. Just 6 rooms of 70 for hotel guests. The rooms are somewhat dimly lit but comfortable. We stayed in standard room. Two people. Large. Lot of bending though while entering the room and other areas .. low doors. Tastefully appointed befitting a palace. Nice breakfast with generous proportions. We enjoyed a Ladakhi meal during our stay.
Their sister property at the base of the hill ... Chulli bagh , very beautiful property with a nice restaurant in an apricot orchard would be more suitable for older people and those with mobility issues.
Stok village itself is peaceful and away from the hustle bustle of Leh with grand views of the mountains and snow topped stok mountain.
