This houseboat is at A very peaceful and calm location. The owner is so humble and the care takers are really nice. Hospitality at it’s best. Gowher is the person who would make your stay really comfortable. Homely food and hygienic. Neat and clean. Highly recommended.

Quite an enjoyable experience in the houseboat.Food was very homely and ambience was perfect. Hamid Bhai and his family were very helpful and took care of all our needs.Infact Hamid Bhai took care of our rest of the journey to Pahalgam and Gulmarg.All his selections on shopping,places to visit were excellent.
Rooms are average, food was good, Breakfast was ok, with limited options for VEGETARIANS. Sandwich was good in breakfast, also we had POHA which was better than expected. We had dinner which was good. Overall Hospitality was good.

Capt. Hameed
This review is not only for the golden flower heritage boathouse but also for it's owner Capt. Hameed. We had searched online and booked our stay with them. We talked to Hameed Sir and ended up booking him up for our entire travel during the stay in Kashmir. Little did we know that it will turn out to be the best decision we made for our trip.
Our stay at nigeen lake in his houseboat which is almost in business for more than 100 years now was so mesmerizing that it cannot be described in words. The houseboat has a very scenic view and such calmness that you will not find in Dal lake for sure. Their property, hospitality and service is commendable, not to forget the delicious Kashmiri food they prepare.
Moving to the best part, touring kashmir with the captain himself. He was so kind and warm during the entire trip that we did not feel even for a second that we were with a stranger whom we met online. He made sure we had the most comfortable ride. He guided us for all good sight seeing, eating and shopping points which helped us a lot. He understood our requirements very clearly and also planned a trek for us which we had never thought of. It turned out to be a cherry on top, he bought us his home cooked wazwan meal for a picnic. I will never forget this sweet and kind gesture.
Our trip became more memorable and enjoyable because of him .
I will recommend Capt Hameed anyday to anyone visiting Kashmir if they want to explore the place beyond Google's description.

It was totally worth it ...the hosts were good and very helpful
The house boat is in Nigeen lake which is less crowded n commercialized as compared to Dal lake ... making it a very ralaxing stay.
