This time we had decided to visit Kashmir just to relax. No much sight seeing. We booked this hotel. Close to Dal gate, Krishna dhaba. On a hill. Got to stay in RK SAROVAR for 5 days, it is awesome, very hygienic and beautiful place to stay. Staff is lovely and very helpful. We celebrated Bday and staff helped a lot to do beautiful decor and delicious cake, spl thanks to Mr Rashid, Mr Sartaj & Mr Muzafar for making bday grand.

We spent the 3rd week of August on this property. Our first trip since 2020 and 3rd trip to Srinagar. A beautiful property with friendly and helpful staff made our trip comfortable.
Javed, Faisal, and Lateef, checked up on us constantly and ensured that both the food and the room were according to our needs.

Being a Club Mahindra member we stayed for 3 nights in August 2021. The stay was comfortable, the staff was very prompt and courteous. The food was excellent , we enjoyed the authentic kashmiri food.
Although it is very centrally and at a very prime location, the room sizes are small.
Mr Javid of Club Mahindra was very helpful and supportive. He was always available at any time of the day.

We stayed at the RK Sarovar Portico hotel for a couple of nights in first week of August 2021. RKSP is located on Gupkar Road, a bit away from the hotels and houseboats situated along the Dal Lake Blvd. but a nice hotel, great hospitality and good food. Staff is cordial and helpful.
For trekking lovers, RKSP presents a short but enjoyable hike to Shankaracharya Temple on a trail starting just besides the main gate of The Hotel. Easy hike.
Easy Climb takes 50 minutes with altitude gain of around 250 meters upto CRPF check post. Can’t carry mobiles or cameras beyond this to the temple. Then 240 steps to temple compound and further 30 steps to the Shiva temple.
We then walked down on the other side of the hill to reach Dal Lake around Ghat 16. But the downhill road is winding and long - probably around 8 kms.
Total duration around 3 hours.
Highly recommended. Photos attached are from the hike.
