We had a fabulous experience staying at the Mascot houseboat. Never expected a houseboat to be a piece of art - exquisitely carved wall panels and elegant furniture and bed. All the staff are very warm and hospitable. Dessert could have been better though.

We've stayed at various houseboats while in srinagar on our previous visits. But if you want to experience authentic Kashmir Housboat experience with luxury, it has to be one of the Mascot Housboats. With hospitality at its best clubbed with authentic kashmiri cuisine and extremely hospitable staff. They give you memories you would cherish for a lifetime. Very strongly recommend.

Worth staying at peaceful surroundings. Good carving on walnut wood work. Modern bathroom fixtures, spacious rooms. Tasty local vegetarian dishes. Staff and chef was friendly taking care of your liking and choice of menu. Neat and clean.

Our mascot houseboat experience was one of the best kashmir experience that we have had. On arrival we were greeted by Captain Shafi who showed us around and took care of all the minor details. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and luxurious. The food was delectable. The terrace view of sunrise and sunset is also a must have experience. The sun rays change colour both in the sky and their reflection on the lake is breathtaking. Highly recommended for the avid photographers
The only regret was that we did not stay very long. Which we are likely to next time.
