The Hazratbal is a famous dargah in srinagar. Very spacious and the time we went was post noon. Almost empty with a few people and security around. Being a woman was not allowed to enter the main area. Was at the women section few women and college going girls were busy offering their prayers. The Security was very friendly and was happy to tell us all that we wanted to know. Mandatory to cover our heads on the bank of the river with a lot of open space and trees to have a quite family picnic. Worth visiting.

#HazratBal shrine is one of the holiest in #Srinagar
The moi e muqaddas or hair from the beard of Prophet Muhammad is kept in a glass phial in the shrine.
This was brought in the reign of Aurangzeb
This is taken our on 12 Rabi awwal or barawafat the Prophets birthday for ziarat.
It's a modern structure on the banks of Dal Lake built in 1978
The old one was made from wood.

It's a beautiful Sufi mosque. The view outside is brilliant. Pigeons fly around it and the town around it is Olden and unique. The views inside are beautiful too.
