Maybe I visited it on a wrong day at the wrong time but this place put me off. The garden was strictly ok ok. The place was extremely crowded with hardly a place left to sit, relax and enjoy the garden

This is one of the best and beautiful gardens which is also called as Mohul Shalimar garden. This garden is maintained by the department of Horticulure/ Kashmir Govt. and the good job is done in maintaining very well. Again this is considered as the heritage garden as the garden was made by the Mohul Kings for their beautiful wives way back in 17th century. Exotic flowers are all round, beauitful lawns, water spots, heritage trees and the view of the hills on one side and dal lake is very close from here. It is ideal to go this garden around 4 p.m so that you can spend some time there and snap some nice and colourful photos. There is a building in the centre of the Garden which can be seen in the Old ten rupee notes( the guide showed me the note) I have attached the photo of this building also

A beautiful structure with beautiful views, just beware no facilities for disabled and take your water bottle with you as no sales around it and can get hot in midday

A must see in Srinagar, the Mughal Gardens is a big garden, blooming with trees and flowers. Its nice to spend time here and one can spend a full day picnic here. we enjoyed, though time was a little scarce for us.
