We were on our way back from Gulmarg and had to stay at Srinagar for a night before catching our flight to Delhi. The hotel is situated in Rajbagh, a quiet area. The Dal Lake and other attractions are slightly away, about 20 mins and INR 80 by an auto which is easily available outside the hotel premises.
It is a simple, clean and no-frills hotel, good for those who want to stay away from the touristy areas. The room and washroom was clean and tidy. The staff is helpful and the one meal we had here was good.
There are supermarkets, dry fruit shops right outside, an on-premise Barista cafe, and eateries around the corner.
The rooms were centrally heated which was much needed. There were a few power cuts which I guess is the case in many places in Kashmir during which the heater didn't work.
Our only grouse was that the staff called us at least 5 times in the morning to check if we wanted breakfast when we had clearly told them in the first instance itself that we did not.
Also, they would ring the doorbell to collect tea cups and even a single spoon which we felt was very nosy.More
