We got the opportunity to stay one night here. Size of room was OK for four, with extra bed. But overall cleanliness can do with one upgrade. Bed covers in the room, bathroom, tables in the so called attached restaurant, all need a better housekeeping person’s attention.

Since it was last day of stay for us, we weren’t bothered with the location. But if you are going for the first time, be aware it is some distance (auto rickshaw ride) from Mall, on a narrow road. All roads in Manali are narrow, btw.

I liked the balcony in the room. Disliked the bathroom and restaurant tables.

I stayed in this hotel for almost 3 days. Excellent Room with wooden flooring. Very spacious with excellent views to the landscapes. Landscape was even visible during the moonlit night . The food is very good. Room service is OK.
However the biggest draw back is that they do not have a generator/power backup. I had to spent an entire day n night with Candle. Properly managed this hotel has a lot of potential to be an excellent choice for the newly weds and familys equally.
Over all my experience was very good and I was very fortunate to see snow in front of the hotel itself about 3-4 inches of it.

To escape the scorching heat of Delhi, visited Manali with my wife.
We had made a booking with Rao Travels and had taken a Deluxe package. We started from Delhi on 02.05.10 and boarded the bus(VOLVO, Semi sleeper) from Jan path at 6pm and reached Manali in the morning. The ride is good, not very tiring,as the bus and the driver was good. Rao Travels do not always provide the bus, they have an arrangement with transporters, but they do have their representative.
We were made to stay at Hotel Jessica.
Its a relatively new hotel , where construction is still going on. There was a person from the Hotel to pick us up from the spot where we were dropped. The room was spacious, but I got a rude shock as i entered the bathroom. The towels were dirty and then when I checked the bed linen, they were equally shabby and torn and dirty. However after we complained, the Manager, Mr. Inderjeet, took care and things were set right.
The room was spacious and the view is good. its close to the River Beas and close to
the Mall, as well. The food is good, though the gravy for each dish appeared to be the same. What troubled us the most was the lack of electricity and proper back up. They do not have a generator.so one had to make do with candles.
We were supposed to have a candle light dinner, which excited us. However what unfolded was something which made me angry as amused at the same time. the waiter came to the room, served us dinner and left behind a candle and the match box, and just left. I am sure the hotel management can do better than this.
Overall, however we really had a great time. Mr.Inderjeet was very helpful. in organizing local trips and also the trip to Rohtang Pass(please leave as early as possible, by 5am)
This hotel has got potential, but it needs to develop.

I visited Manali for the first time... heard so much about the place , so decided to chosse it as my honeymoon destination. Was not sure of where to stay so found Jessica hotel on the website.
I reached Manali and was awed by the beauty of the place and the poeple, who are so friendly.
Reached Manali about 10.30 am from Delhi and the Manager of the hotel was so prompt in calling me to find out where we were so that we dont egt lost and then advised where we should get off. he then sent two of his staff to pick us up and tehn wecomed us on arrival. The hotel is not great and is a normal hotel but its the people and the staff who make it so special. The deals are great and had a package with breakfast and dinner included which makes it even better.
The hotel is situated about 3 kms from the market which is good in a way as you dont have to be in the busy art of town. You can get in touch with the Manager (Tarun) for whatever you need and its never too much for him to help you out.
I stayed there for 3 days and it was great.
The only drawback is that there are no heaters provided in the rooms, you have to rent one if you need it.
I would definitely recommend Jessica hotel to people who are travelling to manali for a hotel thats not very expensive but is truly worth while.
Jessica comes under the category of a budget hotel.
