While travelling to manali, there is tbis beautiful castle, Naggar castle. It was amazing place to visit for wine and some fantastic panoramic views of himachal hills and mountains.
This castle is made of wood and has beautiful architectural design.
If you are going to manali, you must visit here for perfect pictures and memories!!

The Naggar Castle is a quaint and good place with a lot of great photo opportunities if you are traveling with your family and kids in particular. Some of these are the pictures that you can take with the horns of the mountain ibex or mountain goat. There is a small museum that can be visited as well. The museum charges entry of INR 30 (less than half a dollar) for one person and is free for children under the age of 10 years.
There is a restaurant here and it also has rooms that can be rented out. Since the property is situated on a hilltop, the view is also quite awesome. The Kais monastery is close by and is a must visit for those who come here, as is the waterfall.

22 km away from Manali main road. Castle made out of stones and wood. Combination of European & Himalayan architecture. Impressive.
Since it's a heritage hotel now, limited area to walk around. Nothing much at the museum
Amazing scenery with snowtop mountains and kullu valleys.
Didn't eat or drink at the restaurant.
Historical castle. If time permits - make a visit. Nothing extraordinary.

It is a palace like place which can be experienced by everyone. In fact it is one of the ways one can live in true Himachal heritage houses. Construction is far cry from the usual concrete hotels. Rooms are well maintained and kept clean and provided with hot water and room heater. Restaurant is good and staff are welcoming and friendly. If you want to experience a hotel that is away from usual ones, stay here. Its a common place for many film shooting too.
