“Vexed by tax”
Reviewed 13 February 2012

Shared nice chicken banno kabab and 2 fancy lachha parantha with wife, even took tadkedaar daal which was also good.
Only mistake is taking beer and cocktail.
Tax 10% on 400 + 30%vat on same, so 2 drinks cost 555 INR.

Not sure I would pay this in UK. Would go back for the food.

“Avoid the Lunch Buffet”
Reviewed 24 January 2012

Please avoid the lunch buffet. Its not upto the mark.
No starters / no salad / no pickle / no bowls!!!!
Choosing this place for dinner is ok. Instead try Rajdhani just adjacent to this.
Nothing more to write on this.
Visited this place 24 Jan 2012 - with 2 old school friends.

“Reasonable food. Decent Ambience.”
Reviewed 13 January 2012

I can only think of one word to describe this place - meh! There is nothing extraordinary about this place, or anything that catches your attention and makes this place memorable. Regular place in all true sense.

“Too crowded...and noisy”
Reviewed 20 December 2011

I remember going to the first Khaaja Chowk in ncr...at noida. The bling and the pop art ambience then were fun, more importantly because it had great food to match..be it the palak chaat or any of the other fare.

However the gurgaon outlet disappoints; not only is the food just about palatable ..it’s super noisy with waiters unable to even hear an order. If you are looking for a great weekend eatery/diner...this isn't it.

“When desi dili food calls...”
Reviewed 15 December 2011

This place is very 'cookie cutter' in its approach to old delhi food.

You have all the ususal suspects; chaach, shikanji, chaat, lassi, kachori, ganne ka ras (a speciality), dal makhani, kababs, butter chicken, etc

What is missing is the service, the customization and the love for food. The waiters could as well be serving chicken a la kiev. They have no idea what is special, how to cook it or what the history means

The ambience is very quaint and cliched. Nice red tables, autos in which you can have food, benches etc... but they spoil that by playing ricky martin and madonna.

You almost feel bad about the food as the food is truly good! Pity about the service and the management
