Superb place to hang around with your dear ones.... reach there around 7 am. Don't miss the very few left watchtowers....take full around....carry your food and water.... and driving directions given below by someone are great.

“Must visit for any bird watcher”
Reviewed 24 February 2012

We have been to Sultanpur several times. Its just 21 kms from Rajiv Chowk on NH8. The road is pretty good except for a very small patch at Pataudi village. The sanctuary is just off State Highway to Jhajjar.
It is not a tourist place so its never crowded, and offers great opportunity to spot birds. If you are a bird watcher you must visit the place.

Last time when we went, other than lots of migratory birds we also spotted an Antelope and a Sambhar Deer!

“short & sweet picnic place among the mustard field.”

Ahh, try to go there on a weekday! Weekend means more humans than birds!
But a lovely place.

“Bird Paradise”
Reviewed 20 February 2012

It is must for all nature & bird lovers. One gets a close look at a large number of Birds in their natural habitat most of the year around . there was a problem with drying &shrinking lake size last year but the authorities filled it up soon . Migratory birds flock to this lake during winter monthas. Not only birds but blue bulls & some variety of deer are also seen from close range .

“Do not expect see birds up close”
Reviewed 19 February 2012

Back these this Feb after 3 years. I stand by my claim that Bharatpur is much better. But this place is very close to Delhi. One big problem is that on Sunday's it becomes a picnic spot of people flocking from Gurgaon who cares very little for nature, leave aside birds. here birds are seen very far away and hence you need a binocular - and 800mm lens, at least 500. Would love to stay at the Haryana Tourism resort close by and explore the place early in the morning.

As someone pointed out, on NH8, you need to take Exit 10 for Rajiv Chowk. Under the flyover turn right and move 2Km. After the second red light ask someone for the exact cut to turn left.
