A very resolute building that has withstood many climatic changes. Please visit if you are interested in history and architecture and have time on your way to Akshardham. One depends on google for information in most places in Gujarat. A guide in all the tourist attractions would be good.

An interesting place - a walk down history lane. Beautiful monument - great architecture - can be maintained and preserved better.

Lying derelict, this extremely beautiful monument deserves urgent attention for preserving its historic value for conservation and preservation. There is a large dry pond surrounded by monuments which have lovely "Jali work". The steps going down remind one of the old style 'baolis' or water reservoirs of India.

Its a wonderful place. Very peaceful and wonderfully constructed. Sarkhej Roza is a mosque and tomb complex located in the village of Makarba, 7 km south-west of Ahmedabad in Gujarat state, India. A resting place for Sufi saint Shaikh Ahmed Khattu Ganj Bakhsh of Anhilwad Patan, the friend and adviser of Ahmed Shah I, retired to Sarkhej in his later life and died here in 1445. The complex is known as "Acropolis of Ahmedabad", due to 20th century architect Le Corbusier's famous comparison of this mosque's design to the Acropolis of Athens. In its architecture, Sarkhej Roza is an example of the early Islamic architectural culture of the region, which fused Islamic stylistic influences from Persia with indigenous Hindu and Jain features to form a composite “Indo-Saracenic” architectural style. The architectural style of Sarkhej Roza is a precursor to the Mughal period in a true amalgamation of Hindu, Jain and Islamic styles.
