This is the sort of restaurant many "foodies" might miss. It is at the far end of Candolim (near the Taj) and is set back from the roadside. To look at it looks like a basic cafe. But don;t be put off as the Tibetan food it specialises in is first class. This restaurant was recommended to us by two chefs at different restaurants. Both spoke about the quality of the food and how they felt it was vastly under priced. We ate here and had a two course meal with a dsoft drink at little more than two pounds fifty each ! The food is cooked to order so takes a little time to prepare but when it comes all the ingredients look so fresh. The noodle soups/stews have distinctive tastes and are full of fresh vegetables. The red bean dishes are also very good. If the owners of this restaurant spent some money making the restuarnat look more up market they could charge much higher prices . But maybe they don't need to. They have a loyal clientele and when you have other chefs recommending you the food can speak for itself. Don't be pout off by the menu which also has basic English dishes on it . Stick to their speciality the Tibetan food. A great wayt to have a good meal at a very cheap proce.
