My husband & I try to travel to Goa twice a year, usually Nov/Dec and again Feb/Mar. This gets us the best value of our 6 month Indian Visa. We have travelled from North to South, and stayed in all manner of guest houses always requesting a double en-suite room and sleeping on different mattresses usually the 2" 0r 3" thick kind stuffed with coconut hair. Showers are for the most part, cold water, (obviously depending on what we pay per night).
Then, we discover Rising Wave. These rooms would grace any magazine feature, some newly built, such comfortable beds with thick matresses and crisp linen. A/c that works, room cleaned each day and clean sheets and towels every other day. Endless hot water in the shower, kitchenette with fridge and gas ring to boil water for tea and coffee, oh, and Sky TV!
Although a little walk to the beach the guest house is in a very good position for shops etc. With the main street on one side which we just had to walk accross in order to visit the supermarket, vegetable market and stalls selling tasty hot snacks. We used the little shop at the side, the guy in there told us that he was our corner shop. We called him Arkwright, as he was open all hours!
Rising Wave is more that we have ever paid for a room @ Inr1600 prpn but we feel that it is worth it for the added luxury.
Very busy restaurant adjoining, ate there once, good food but mostly western style and we both prifer Goan & Indian curries.

Stayed here for 5 nts in early March. Exceeded my expectations, room was very good. In great location on main road 5 mins walk to beach. Room was on the side overlooking football pitch so was a little quieter than rooms on the front. Furniture and fittings all good quality with plenty of storage space, new air con and flat screen TV. Bed was very comfy and room spotlessly clean. Food in restaurant was good. Excellent value for money and would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking football pitch on the side are quieter.

No doubt, one of the best guest house in Goa... very clean, spacious hall, bedroom, kitchen & having 2 balconies.... SPIC & SPAN!!! The owner "Mr. Tony Cardoza" is a gem of a person... Cant wait to go back again... wish i had come across this hotel long back as i visit Goa frequently during peak season...

Location is awesome, centrally located in Candolim bang on the main road with a decent parking space... plenty of shops, bars & restaurants nearby... & above all, just less than 5 mins walking distance from the clean Candolim beach... No swimming pool, but then you can use the pool of "SUNSET BEACH RESORT" which is also owned by Tony & not too far from the Rising Waves property...

The restaurant below the hotel is good, offers delicious breakfast & attracts great crowd in the evenings... very nice ambiance.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! Felt Home... away from HOME.. wish could had stayed longer...
