The rooms are small, and worn out. Most need a lot of repairs. At this price, one does expect a far better room and service. As for the restaurant, the food is good, but the service is rather slow. The only good thing is the attached 24 hour cafeteria, although that too isn't really 24 hours.
After our Journey from Mumbai to delhi, we headed to chandigarh and after a fantastic journey headed in Hotel Aroma Classic. The kind of feel hotel website gives in reality i was disappointed. Its a old property, rooms can be better and especially bathrooms accesories needs to be changed. There is no force of water available and hot water are not always available which is not what i expected with the Hotel of its stature.
Food was ok though its pricey, Breakfast was decent enough.
All in all decent, though it can be better and there are better available elsewhere.
good location. At first price i.e Rs.5500/ less 15% plus 750/ for extra bed appeared reasonable. The AC i.e chilled water supply to room FCU was stopped after midnight. Had to call housekeeping at 5.00 AM in the morning and to my surprise there was nothing wrong with the room switch or Indoor unit, but it was the chilled water supply which was stopped. The hotel has been done well with good room interiors but with very poor understanding of operating the hotel. Hospitality norms are very poor. With other chain of hotel in same price tag like sarovar/ hotel toy/ lemon tree this hotel falls behind in the race. one day earlier I stayed in sarovar in industrial area which had only one draw back of location otherwise in same price it proved to be better hotel
My experience at Aroma Hotel is very bad as the money which they are charging from the customer is very high and the quality is absolutely poor the service quality and room is very small cramped , dark and most imprtantly the TV dont work , i will never stay again in this hotel.....
I've been to CHG a few times and was always enamored by this place, hence chose to stay the last time I went. What a pity! What looks like a superb place from outside is a damp squib from inside. The rooms are quite worn out, the cot / furniture look dirty and old, to say the least. The basic color tv has poor picture quality and the remote needs a tap every few times. Most of the national channels are not available! Room service was slow, but the food was Ok. Breakfast was well spread but almost no options for Veg.
I stayed here for a business trip last december (peak winter) - the rooms are heated (thankfully else the ground floor room would have been difficult to live in). The bathroom are not much to write about, but they are clean atleast. Bathtub was cracked. Hot water was not free flowing from the heater and so on...
The breakfast spread was 'Indian' but filling!
The hotel has been recently renovated which has made the entrance much better.
Our business trip included usage of the Banquet facilities. Mr. Krishan is incharge and does a decent job executing. The serve good food and treat their guests well. However one has to constantly micro manage the event to ensure everything goes as per plan.
The best part about this hotel is the eatery on the outside. Open almost 24x7 it serves one of the best food!
