Owner description: Next to city centre, in Sector 16 is situated Zakir Hussain Rose Garden Asia's largest Rose Garden and is spreaded over 30 acres of land having over 1600 different species or roses. These have been planted beautifully carved out lawns and flowers beds. Like the cultural zone which is just across the road in sector 10,this was also planned by Dr. M.S. Randhawa as his interest in horticulture and fondness for flowers was profuse.

“Rose Rose”
Reviewed 20 January 2013

Beautiful garden. Well kept. If you have time and love flowers then go and visit. They have huge varieties of roses with thier local and at times botanical names. But the pleasure is in seeing them bloom. Good for visit in Winters especially January as other seasons the roses are not blooming

“Avoid October nov”
Reviewed 18 January 2013

We were disappointed as there were no roses to see in the month of October. The place is big to see variety of roses... Take care to visit in flowering season.

“Rose garden is losing its rosi-ness”
Reviewed 26 December 2012

Visited in Dec 2012. Although the flower beds make you feel beautiful but a lot more needs to be done holistically to nurture this beauty. There is a lot of muck lying around the garden which puts you off and u can notice it the moment you enter the gates despite numerous waste bins around. None of the rose beds has any information displayed about it , not even its scientific name /genre and the existing display name boards also need to be repaired/re-painted at some places. The administration needs to pay attention. A rose information centre in the premises catering to expert information, seeds , books, souvenirs would be a good idea.
