Although rooms & service is OK but this is one of the few hotels which is situated on a beautiful part in East coast of India. The hills surrounding and a bay like beach makes this hotels location perfect which is a rarity on the east coast of India. I can say this Govt Hotel stands next to the one in Ganapatipule, on the Konkan coast for its location and the beautiful landscape.

Room tip: Go for beach facing rooms

This property is located in a really nice location with all the rooms having best sea/beach view. Some rooms have balcony and the ones without balcony are more spacious. You can still enjoy the view through the full wall glass window. The bathrooms were not maintained well. The water was not draining and door was broken. I really wish they take care of maintenance issues seriously, and do it on a ongoing basis. Rather than wait until it is completely broken and fixing it. I really enjoyed the view. Food is reasonably priced and good at Vihar restaurent adjacent to it. You have to eat breakfast only at the hotel restaurent which is OK. There are no other places close by to get breakfast. Hotel attendants wake you up to give you breakfast coupons in the morning rather than the giving them when checked in which I thought is very annoying. You go on a vacation not to get disturbed as much as possible. By the way, there is no AC or proper fans in the hotel restaurent.

Room tip: Take the room close to reception area. It is hard to lug the luggage to far off rooms.

Its a out of the world xperience of staying there. We were simply amazed by the location and ambience of this property. Room service n staff behaviour n coordination r unique. Food is great though South Indian but amazing. Its a very serene place to njoy Rishikonda Beach from the rooms even. U can njoy sunrise n sunset from UR rooms even. Rooms r like semi studio apprtment. Xcept kitchen facility. Being at height its a good cool retreat compared to City weather. Definitely far from city but its a place to unwind in solitude.

Room tip: If U choose this property U must have a car at UR disposal. U can njoy other attractions of City from here on daily xcursions. Higher rooms r having great views.

1) Big but isolated Resort on a hill top
2) No security issue
3) rooms are big and nice and have excellent view
4) Beach is just below the hotel
5) Foods are only state style and not so good
6) No outside locality

Room tip: 1) Choose seperate cottage style rooms on 1st floor

We stayed for 3 nights in October 2011. We booked into the a/c rooms & the views from our rooms were breathtaking. The rooms were big, well furnished, clean & well maintained. Each room had its own balcony with sitting arrangement . Standing in the balcony of your room and watching the waves break on the shore, seeing the sunrise.. or the distant lights on the distant hills just takes away all your botherations.
service was also good but food was average... but trust me the view from the rooms are so GOOD that a foodie like me didn’t mind the absence of vairety or the lack in taste.

Room tip: book into the a/c rooms or the presidential suite.. they are the best quality rooms & are situated on the top most floor.. hence giving you a good view
