Stay - 14/09/2011
We reach Hotel 10.00 Am ,they allot room. Room Ok. Service OK. Housekeeping & Room Service OK.
They supply Tea urgently when we demand. This is plus point. As per( Budget ) value
for money . our first night stay was already booked through Yatra -1 Night- cost Rs.550/- per Double occupancy non ac room for 1night -only room -EP plan. As cost wise hotel good, no doubt.
But when we extend 1 night stay in same room they charge us Rs. 700/- When we enquire
before extenction room stay reception person says -Room price will be Rs. 550/- We say Ok.
But when we check out next day , the reception person was other, he charge us Rs. 700/-.
We try to convey him but no use. I have to pay Rs. 700/-, This was very bad, worst experience, so be careful.

Our family of four decided on a sudden trip to Tirupati. The holiday planner made arrangemets for travel, stay, darshan, etc and cited Hotel Sunil Krishna as a 3-star hotel.

When we reached there, we had the shock of our lives. The 'so-called'hotel is located in an inner road full of small shops, workshops, etc. The hotel does not have an in-house restaurant and if food is ordered, the same is procured by the room-boys from outside. The room-boys speak only Telugu and from their looks and gestures it is quite apparent that they are out to fleece you only. About the room--- there was no curtain, the A/C was not working properly, the toilet seat was broken and the walls too were stained. When we complained, an electrician came over and said there was a loose contact and hence the 'on and off' working of the A/C. We never dared to touch the water in the jug for fear of sickness. At night, we could hardly sleep, what with the various rooms buzzing for the room-boys, room-boys shouting and to add to the cacaphony was the sound of trains.

When one stepped out of the room in the morning, we had room-boys sleeping on the staircases and landings. THIS IS ONLY A CHEAP LODGE and certainly does not qualify as a hotel. When we boarded our vehicle after check-out, a couple of room-boys had the cheek to bang on the car window and demand tips. Had to shoo them off saying that neither was any service sought from them nor was any given.

Visitors to Tirupati----please give this so-called hotel a wide berth

Started with find the hotel…

• address which specified is wrong(it isn’t in old Thiruchanur Road). Actually it is backside of RelianceMart on NH205…. I don’t want to share exact route, I don’t want anyone to try this hotel…

• No guidance, asked for hotel nearby, he replied “ No hotel nearby sir, I will ask room service to give you the food to your room”. But actually there is many hotel in <50 meter (you just have to across level crossing nearby hotel).

• Went to the restroom, It gave me surprise, western toilet without toilet seat.

• Maintenance very worst!!!...specially bucket and mug inside the restroom was very old, which you will not find in the public toilet.

• Generally I don’t take drinking water outside, but for sake I opened the water jug which they provide...vry vry vry worst….not sure when it was washed last.

• No Tube inside, only power saver light which is also 14 watts….

• No Light lamp…..

Finally, went to checkout and I summarized the above problem to the manager, he is was listening… listening… listening… finally I myself realize he is not listening…but blinking, hope he doesn’t understand my language(English)., However he has not even said that…

I booked this hotel on makemytrip. We took a package for Temple Valley Hotel, and since we were staying in Tirupati a little longer to avoid reaching late night in Chennai on route to Pondicherry. Sunil Krishna is very close to station and bus stop. We check in at about 8 PM and they were able to give us the room fast. Nothing great to write about, but the room and sheets were clean. In the morning, we got up early, ordered breakfast to the 'boy" and left early. WORD OF CAUTION: Don't order food here - they gave it in polythene, no plates - tasted awful. Had a few bites, brushed our teeth again and went off. Use this hotel to keep your luggage if you are in a whirlwind stop just to visit Lord Balaji. It was quite cheap, Rs 450 per night - I think.

Sunil Krishna is a low budget hotel and it definately does't fit the bill if u are looking for standards. Stained walls, noisy AC and u would think twice before using the pillows and the blankets as they are very dirty. The loo is suprisingly clean. The staff is friendly and helpful but they are not in par with the current standards. The only reason u could stay here is if ur visit to Tirupati doen not involve an overnight stay and all u need is a place to keep ur luggage and take a hot water bath. However if u want to stay overnight this place is a complete no no.
