“BEST SUNSET POINT!!!!!”
Reviewed 25 April 2012

It is situated at the southern most tip of South Andaman Island. It is about 25 km from Port Blair in Andaman District. Dotted with green mangroves and peaceful forest, it is a perfect place for nature lovers. This village has earned the name, Bird Island.Chidiya Tapu Biological Park, Chidiya Tapu Beach, and the Sylvan Sands and Munda Pahar beaches are the prime attractions.Better to hire a car for the trip to chidiya tapu. You can see the sun go down behind a hillock from this beach(munda pahar beach). Its a worth to see sun going down over there.Beautiful sunset, can't explain its beauty.Better to go there in the afternoon means at second half as you can see the sunset over there. You can have bath over there.there are changing rooms and toliets for ladies and gents separately. But beware no networks will be available over there in your phone.

“Sea shore, setting sun and singing birds”
Reviewed 24 April 2012

An out of this world experience...lovely beach, a setting sun, chirping birds and abnormally tall trees.

“Great Beach, Great Drive to the place”
Reviewed 12 April 2012

The drive to Chidiya Tapu from Port Blair is around 45 mins through roads bordering beaches and thick forests. Roads are good. Great Drive. Chidiya Tapu is ideally visited at around 4pm in the evening. It will enable you to watch the sunset which is amazing. Good place to take photos as there are some old uprooted trees on the beach. Beach is good, waters are reasonably calm. There is a Zoological park next to the beach which has crocodiles

“Peaceful place and amazing sunset”
Reviewed 26 March 2012

It is Around 25 – 28km from Port Blair city. This is famous for variety of birds but you cannot expect to see it from beach. You need to explore forest area. Forest is quite dense so it’s better to go inside with local guide or with local person.
Beach is very beautiful and clam. Best beach to swim.
Do not miss classic view of sunset and keep your camera ready to capture it. I am uploading some photos of beach and sunset.
No food stalls nearby beach so carry some snacks.

“Really nice place”
Reviewed 15 March 2012

You should go there. The landscape is nice. The sea gives you an illusion that it is a land-locked lake. The sunset from this spot is just gorgeous. The drift woods lying in the beach adds to the character of the beach.
