“Enjoyed the lunch”

Very few guests made us suspicious of the place initially. But food was reasonably good though service quite slow.

“Dirty”
Reviewed 18 April 2012

We stopped here thinking they served beer, which they didn't, decided to take a look at the menu but ended up just having a soft drink. The table we sat at was filthy hadn't been cleaned properly and there was food all over the floor. There was only one other couple just leaving and they staff were all hanging around watching tv, obviously too lazy to sweep up. On top of that told us that there sister restaurant didn't served beer!!!!! Which did. Good luck if you eat there!

“A decent restaurant”
Reviewed 15 March 2012

We had two sea food dishes here. We loved these preparations. However, the Singapore style noodles that we ordered was not edible. The prices are very reasonable. Overall, this is a good restaurant to go to for sea foods.

“Overrated”
Reviewed 28 January 2012

Lonely Planet got this one wrong in my view. The overall experience is a let down. It's a basic restaurant and the food is average. Not worth the price. Had sea food, including a pomfret for about Rs 800, but the preparation was disappointing. The fish was fresh though. And the veg dishes were oily. The Lonely Planet recommendation gets in the customers which they seem to be smugly aware of and content with.

Once you have eaten at the Red Snapper restaurant at Hotel Wild Orchid (which was comparatively cheaper as well!) on Havelock Island, this pales into insignificance and is mediocre. The Wild Orchid is probably the best restaurant in the Andamans. It's classy and while certainly not cheap, is sure worth the money.

Went to the Lighthouse residency because it was recommended in lonely planet. Food was horrible, overprices and restaurant manager a seedy opportunist.
Totally NOT RECOMMENDED!
