This resort has so much going for it once they get everything organized like their information of what's available in the resort. They had no liquer license for the pool bar, no computers for email, the shop was just getting set up when we left. Minor stuff like that. But most important was the first point of service, the reception desk, the staff had no clue of what was available for transport from the resort, each person had their own version and each was wrong! No interest in telling us where to find places of interest even though they had a separate desk for that purpose, she wasn't very informative. We found our own way around and watch out for those taxi drivers, they can rip you off like anywhere in the world ha ha

Although we enjoyed our stay here,it did not meet all our expectations. The options for food within the resort were very limited and I agree with another reviewer, that a swim up bar with no alcohol is very unusual. Also no acivities dock and no boutique shop as advertised was disappointing. The positives were very clean modern spacious suites and a beautiful pool.

My husband and I stayed here in early May and I was not impressed. Not the worst vacation I've ever had, but darn close. In fact, I don't think we'll ever return to Tahiti. Sure the resort was clean; it better be since it was brand new. The service was decent too, but we were 1 of 5 or 6 couples staying there at the time. I'd hate to see the place at full capacity. The infinity pool was also lovely and they cleaned it daily.

"What was wrong?" you might ask.

We'll let's start with NO ALCOHOL! The hotel failed to mention was they didn't have a liquor license. Now, I'm not a big partier, but I also don't think a tropical vacation starts until you get a nice fruity adult beverage. That meant the pool bar became a garbage can for the pool guests (non-hotel-guests) that brought their own supplies.

The restaurant - Nice for a very special dinner (because of the price/portion size) but with only 5 menu options, it get's old pretty darn quick.

That brings me to the location - This place was so far away from everything that we felt stranded. 35-40 min walk to the store to get groceries to prepare our own meals since the restaurant was so limited. $12 bus ride (per person!) to get to town to go shopping. Had we known that the resort was so isolated we would have rented a car.

Construction - yep, still underway. Wouldn't been nice to know that too. Couldn't even go in the water in front of the "beach" because they had so many hoses running through so they could finish the deck. That also meant that any watersports were out of the question; they had none of the equipment they claimed to have and even told us we shouldn't go in the water with all the boat traffic. Oh, did I forget to mention that? It's located right at the middle of the pass so you have boat traffic from both sides all the time. Water isn't so still with power boats cruising by non-stop.

Oh yeah, that private beach they claim to have is man-made, fake sand in front of their pool. There is NO REAL BEACH. Nuf said.

Brand new property with high quality fittings in rooms. Interiors very well decorated. Kitchenette is well equipped for cooking breakfast or simple one dish meals. Very useful for people on a budget or having special dietary needs. The suite we lived in was just great. Views of Moorea island from the pool area were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unlike several other hotels where they take care of their own financial interests and commissions, the staff here actually cared about the interests of the guest. For instance the staff suggested we take a public transport bus than a private taxi to Papeete town rather than a taxi. The manager Ms. Nita Morgan exhibited exemplary customer service.

This hotel just opened in March and everything is beautiful. The rooms are spacious with kitchens and very nice furnishings. The hotel has a very lovely infinity pool which looks out
on the island of Moorea. There will eventually be a swim-up bar and light meal service at the pool. Our rooms were up- graded and they allowed us to check in early and stay late. Best of all was the location near several dinner trucks for an inexpensive meal and also near the Blue Banana Restaurant for lunch or dinner. There is also an inexpensive shuttle to town. I would not consider the hotel to be 5 stars but it is small and very lovely. Considering the cost of rooms in Tahiti this was a bargain.
