First visit to hotel and would return despite contacting food poison at the end of my holiday
from campylobacter confirmed by my doctor. Important to point out that I had a Mc chicken meal from McDonalds the night before I left. Generally thought the hotel was very clean although I did complain at the begining about the state of a table used to set out tea and coffee. The staff couldn't do enough to sort the problem and presented me with a large basket of fruit as an apology. Overall I was happy with the food. Basically this is a nice hotel no crystal chandeliers but the rooms are spacious comfortable and clean. A special mention to sammy our cleaner who has a lovely personality and really knows his job and Kierlos the barman for his wonderful service. You see this is were st georges strength is in its staff they are all so friendly and helpfull. You can Join the animation team at what we called the noisy pool and they will keep u busy all day or relax round at the quiet pool. Nice sandy beach is a 5 min ride on free shuttle bus. Lunch and drinks all provided at beach. Shuttle bus will also take u to Naama bay and the old market and also to a fairly new area called soho which is lovely and relaxing with open air entertainment and nice bars and shops. Its easy to see why most people return here almost everyone we met had been before and like ourselves hope to come back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the the St. George. Very large room and huge walk in shower which was very nice. Grounds are well kept and tidy. Two large pools, separate from each other if you want some peace from the entertainment. Food was good, but got rather bland and samey by the end of the week. Lots of desserts though which were yummy!! The only problem is that it is quite away from the main resort centre. They do have a free shuttle and it's not far in a taxi. We would still prefer to go for a walk in the evenings which is not really possible around the hotel. Recommended

Room Tip: Try and get a pool view room

After reading some of the reviews on this Hotel I thought there were too many returning guests for some of the reviews to be true!! As it turns out, after meeting lots of people whilst on holiday and speaking with them, the majority were returning guests!! The Hotel staff are extremely friendly and certain members made our holiday extra special (Mahamoud who works in the right hand side of the restaurant was always attentive, Abrahim who went above and beyond and managed to get our daughter swimming in the sea, Romany in the lobby bar who remembered my name and favourite drink throughout our holiday, Roxi and the rest of the animation team, Marco the photographer who entertained my daughter most days!!...and many more). Yes the bathrooms could be better but I have seen worse. Our room was huge with a super kingsize bed and single bed. Fridge and safe supplied free of charge. Outdoor drinks were served in disposable small plastic cups but if you take a bigger cup they will fill this up for you too. There was plenty of variation of food in the restaurant...I'm sure there is something for even the fussy eaters to find. @Nathans a la carte restaurant which is above the main restaurant is worth a try on the Egyptian themed night. Set menu for £17 each - 5 courses!! Towels are provided around the pools and at the beach which is easy to get to via a free 10 minute coach journey provided by the Hotel.

To sum it up, we had an enjoyable 2 week holiday and would definitely return. We met some lovely people, staff and other guests included. Oh and with reference to Abby H's review, the Hotel did have a lot of locals staying during Egypt's Easter holidays but only for the weekend...it didn't affect our stay or the service we received!!
