Just got back from this hotel and the first time to Egypt and we loved it.First couple of nights we were very hesitant because its a new experience with tipping and so forth but once you got used to it that s not a problem. they are lots of different advice on what to tip on here but we tipped in american dollars and egyptian pounds and euros all notes and they are more than happy with either and the evening bar staff are very attentive if given 2 or 3 dollars, you NEVER have an empty glass..thanks Mohammed you were a star!!!People lower the rating on hotels for silly things in my opinion eg no cold cloths,no welcome drink but seriously we as a family can look further than petty gripes.Having said that we did get offered a cold cloth at check in,our suitcases were delivered to our room and even removed from our room and loaded back on to the coach at the end of our hols with a wave goodbye from many staff, which after picking up from grand Azure and watching them struggle with their cases and no send off and a truly horrific review from one family from there im so glad we chose where we had.The rooms were spacious enough for the time you spend there, yes they were a little dark but i did my makeup in the bathroom, its all about saving energy here which i think is good. The entertainment team worked tirelessly, long hours to keep you enterttained, one small gripe was the evening entertainment,'skye' were pretty dire and needing replacing and the entertainment started too late for us,little tweeks could go such a long way.
Snorkelling was FANTASTIC,be brave and go off the jetty...very deep and preety cold but fab,the fish you see is really unbelievable...endulge in a good waterprrof camera.
Only ventured outside once to go to the chemist to stock up beforehand and we hated the amount of pressure to go in shops, but if thats what you like, youll love it here.
Food was lovely most night, yes we did get a few tummy gipes but i dont think its the food, most probably the climate as its absolutley baking here so stock up on factor 50 and drink loads of water,it didnt put a dampner on our hols but we did see three people flake in the heat...day and night as it is like sitting with a hot hairdryer pointed at you, even at 11 o'clock at night.
i know iv wittered on but fort people visiting first time i think these little things help, feel free to ask any questions, this is only my opinion on things but hopefully i can help,we are looking into booking again next year!!!

Stayed here for fourteen days 23rd May until 6th June, It was our second visit to this Hotel, and once again ,had a lovely time. Rooms kept spotlessly clean, service, no matter what area you were in, restaurant, bars, pool or beach was very good. Had no problems booking for a-la-carte restaurants which are well worth a visit. The food in Magico was once again of a good standard.Spoke to some people who had been very ill with tummy problems, and must say one of my concerns was the birds flying into Magico and eating of the trays at the food stations. This could easily be addressed by management, if the doors were to be kept closed, let the air con do its job,and am sure this would deter the influx of birds,as like flies, we know the germs they carry. We had a great holiday and would not hesitate to reccomend this hotel

My girlfriend and I stayed at Club Magic Life for our first trip to Egypt and Sharm el Sheikh. We booked for 10 nights at the end of September and based our selection on the good reviews and subsequent high rating of the hotel on Trip Advisor.

We were not disappointed. The and check-in was very smooth and there was even a waiter serving cold drinks upon our arrival which was a nice touch. We were then taken to our room which was on the top floor, overlooking the relax pool.

Room:

The view from our balcony was great and the room was very clean and spacious. We had a large double bed and all of the necessities to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. The room was cleaned everyday without fail and on occasions decorative towel designs were left on our bed. The advantage of overlooking the relax pool was the reduction of noise/music from the larger activity pool.

Location:

The hotel has a good location in Sharm with local shops only a short taxi ride away. Naama Bay is also within reach for a night out. There is a beautiful beach which we made full use of with more than enough beds and umbrellas, as well as a nearby restaurant for the buffet lunch. There is also a beach bar to keep hydrated.

Food:

The food at this hotel was of a good quality and highly varied. Breakfast was always my favourite as you can have anything you desire as well as fresh ommlettes/fried eggs cooked in front of you. The main buffet restaurant had a different theme each night and the staff do a great job of transforming the same venue into so many different settings.
There is also the option to book the a la Carte restaurants for some evening meals. These are all fantastic and should defintiely be visited. The Thai restaurant is excellent and the service in all of these very good. It makes a nice change from the buffet.

Excursions:

We booked a Catamaran Boat trip through our Thomson rep which was brilliant. It is a day long cruise which stops at various points where you can snorkel and swim. The coral reefs are truly breathtaking and we were fortunate to see so many wonderful fish under the water.
We also booked a trip to see the Pyramids through an external company - Sharm Excursions - and this was amazing. The trip takes all day as there is a flight involved but it is more than worth it.

Summary:

Overall this is an excellent hotel offering good service. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Club Magic Life and would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to others when travelling to Sharm el Sheikh.

Room Tip: Rooms around the relax pool are much quieter.

We have been to Eqypt 5 times previously to this holiday in May, when I retrurn to Sharm in future this is the only hotel i will look for. No its not 5 star as we think of a british 5 star hotel, but the service and facilities certainly are worthy of this rating.
The staff are tremendous they can't do enough to ensure your stay is good, Amgad one of the bar staff was phenominal, we generally didnt even bother having to order drinks as he would have our regular tipple waiting for us as soon as he saw us approaching the bar.
The entertainments team have a hard job keeping everyone satisfied with the diverse nationalities that stay here, but they work damned hard at trying to please most people. The shows they put on are notr "west end" shows, and yes some of the jokes are dated and obvious, if you just appreciate that work that goes into what they are trying to do you can't fail to be impressed. There are two Hungarian "acrobats" why defy gravity with their act.
All in all we found this to be a very relaxing, fun filled friendly holiday. We met some lovely people, eat some great food and will look forward to returning again.
Thank you Club Magic Life and Thompson Holidays.

Stayed for a week 30th May - 6th June. Hotel great, staff couldn't do enough for you. Nothing was to much trouble.

Buffet restaurant food - very good. Lots of choice and food hot rather than the usual lukewarm that you usually get in a buffet all inclusive. Eagles Bar staff exceptionally good on the cocktails. Evening entertainment OK but nothing outstanding. Marvellous for kids with plenty of activities to do. Did not use the Spa so cannot comment on this.
The snorkelling is fabulous. Red flag up most mornings but fine to snorkel after lunch. We've been snorkelling in a lot of countries but this is definitely the best. The boat trips on offer are a definite MUST but be careful with the lunch included. I got food poisoning from the salad. Still thoroughly enjoyed the snorkelling though.

The Monastery trip @ £39 with thomsons was an absolute waste of money in our opinion. Two to three hours drive through the desert with not much to see on route. When you arrive there is only the church that you can visit and the burning bush. Just not worth the early start and long drive for an hour at the monastery.
We flew with Thomsons and both ways on time and found sufficient legroom despite reading previous reports of squashed up seats.

I definitely would go to the same hotel again next time we visit Egypt

Room Tip: Block 20 nice and quiet and near the Relax Pool. top Floor for sunny room. Don't eat the salad...
