Arrived at the resort on 8th july for a weeks stay with my boyfriend and 15 month old boy ( after a very informative 15 min journey from 'gad' the resort rep) to lovely welcome drinks in lobby and fast check in. After checking in we had option to go to fountain view or straight to our room. we decided to go to our room first to freshen up, the bell boys take your bags to your room and give you a tour and also advise you about everything in your room.

Room
we stayed in the family block room 3140, which was a double family room.
our room was very beautiful and modern and we had a sea view also, rooms have lcd tv which has many channels movies for children and adults also disney channel and cbeebies which was a god send for us, sports and bbc. bathroom was lovely had jacuzzi bath, power shower, washing line over bath which is very useful, hairdryer and shampoo conditioner and other little toiletries.
large wardrobe also in room with iron and ironing board and safe.
also have kettle, coffee and tea facilites and a mini fridge in room
you get 2 bottles of water each day when your room is cleaned but if you need any more you can get them from any of the bars or restaurants.

Swimming pools
We used the main pool and childrens splash pool at the family block which was brilliant.
2 large water slides and 1 small water slide on splash part.
pools where very clean and the baby pool at the main swimming pool was shallow enough for my 15 month old to walk around in his swim ring which was brill. he loved it!

one negative i do have is about waiter service around the pool. im not lazy and i did go to the bar on many occasions for drinks but on occasions where waiters did ask us we waited 30 mins and still had no drinks so i ended up going to the bar myself. it was very hit and miss and a few couple also agreed on this.

we never used adult pool so cant comment on that.

FOOD
i will be honest and say that it wasnt the best food i have ever had in the fountain view restaurant. we found that there wasnt much variety and abit repetative. we struggled towards the end of the week to find something to have but we usually stuck to eggs in the morning salads in afternoon and went al a carte in the evening.

we dined in the marhaba, casa bianco and stone grill restaurants.
marhaba was asian which we did enjoy but very little portions so we still felt hungry after we ate.
casa bianco was very nice, the steaks are great and was very very pleased with this restaurant.
stone grill which is not part of your all inclusive was nice. its great to cook your own steak but the fillet steak you get here is not what you would call a fillet steak.
the steak was better in casa bianco in my opinion. but it was still nice.

we also ate one day in the snack bar at main pool which we never went back to as i ordered burger and chips and my burger was cold which put me off meat for the week.

that is the only downside the food. i think it could do with a bit more variety and thought!!

Service
i cannot fault the service in the hotel. the bar staff and waiters in this hotel are amazing they will do anything for you. the waiters and waitress' in fountain view restaurant absolutly loved my little boy and where always fussin over him and always found a table close to the buffet for us.
also i could not fault the room cleaners. they where there from morning till evening constantly cleaning. our room was constantly kept very clean through out and we always had a little towel figure waiting for us.

Entertainment
We went to the sinai theatre a couple of nights to watch the entertainment which was very good. we watched ronan keating, kylie and also abba we also seen a comedian the comedy cellar.
ronan keating and kylie where very good and also had the audience join in. which was to our amusement watching 4 men make up boyzone with ronan trying to dance. was brill to watch.
also every night before the entertainment there was childrens play house live which was brilliant for the kids.

Sensory nursery
We Pre Booked Our 15 month old into nursery for the pm session which was 1.30pm till 5pm everyday. he absolutly loved it and a special mention to zoe, amy, eleanor and rachel goes out as they where brilliant. also if you pre book in england you get a free evening session which is 7.30pm till 11.30pm which allows you to have a child free night.
they do everything in nursery, painting, sensory learning with different things, singing and playing games. also they have cots for your little one to have a nap
i would recommend every parent to do this as it gets very hot in the afternoons and its nice to know your little ones are not in the sun and in a safe environment with profesional nursery nurses and other children to play with.
you can also book when you are over there but it is £33 pounds a session compared to the £15 pound a session if you pre book in england and you dont get your free evening session which is £26 pound a session to book when you are over there.
we also pre booked a mothercare steriliser and cot.

we only went offsite once when we needed baby wipes which we found a pharmacy on baron palms . quite expensive at £8 for 2 packs of wipes.

overall we had a fab time and would return in the future.

Take a snorkel and mask with you the snorkelling is amazing and then try the diving :) Do not miss the entertainment as some really good nights, acts flown in from the UK, great for all ages. Swim up rooms worth the upgrade. Choice of restaurants great and food choice is good. Staff very friendly. The staff Thomson and hotel all excellent in this hotel. The sunbeams at the pool and on the beach extra comfy. The entertainment team have good activities and the archery was fab. The Italian and Marhaba both served amazing meals along with the american beach diner and buffet restaurant. Ignore any old comments on here as this hotel is perfect now and is a true Sensatori feeling and relaxing, try the Spa and have a pedicure, you also get a shoulder and leg massage. I am going to book to go again and can say out of all my worldwide travels this was one of my favourite holidays and best hotels. Thank you to all Sensatori staff.- Mandy ;)

Room tip: The rooms are great, comfy beds, iron & board, hairdryer all supplied. Swim up rooms are amazing.

We stayed at the Sensatori Sharm El Sheikh from 6th - 20th July 2011. We had a swim up, sea view room in Block 1 (No. 1109).

Arrival at the airport was fine, there was a rep waiting for us outside for Sensatori guests only, and we were straight on the coach and on our way to the hotel, which is only 15 minutes away.

The rep on the coach was really helpful and gave us all a welcome pack and a short form to complete to speed up check in.

On arrival at the hotel, we were met by extremely helpful porters who took our cases from the coach, we were escorted inside and straight to check in, given a cocktail each and had our room key within 1 minute. We then went back out to where the cases were, and a porter drove us to our room in a little buggy, telling us all the way that in the sea view swim up rooms we would be treated like 'kings and queens' and that the owner of the hotel always stayed in one of those rooms!

When we got to the outside of the room I was blown away by how close we were to the beach and how beautiful it all looked - bear in mind this was at 10pm so it was dark, but it still looked amazing even then and I couldn't wait for morning to come!

The porter then carried our cases into the room, and came in to show us all the facilities and how everything worked. He could not do enough for us, which is exactly how all the staff were for the whole 2 weeks we were there!

After a very comfortable nights sleep in an enormous bed, we looked outside to find the most beautiful view, and the hottest weather we have ever experienced! Thank goodness for the air conditioning in our room, which although a little bit noisy (aren't they all?) made the room lovely and cool at all times.

Our room was fab, as I have already said the location was amazing and I highly recommended a Block 1 swim up room. The other swim ups had steps up to their pools meaning your sunbathing area was limited and looked quite shaded.

The room itself had everything you could need, and more. Bottles of water left every day, the most attentive cleaner who made little animals out of towels, even a baby on our last day! The bed was huge and so comfortable, and everything was clean and modern.

The buffet restaurant had such a huge choice. If there was nothing in the self serve areas that took your fancy, fresh dishes cooked to order were available such as pasta, fajitas, pizza as well as lovely meat skewers, roasts and stir frys. The puddings were fantastic, so much choice!

The Tiran Diner was another favourite, right on the beach, but cooled by big fans in each corner, the staff were so attentive here and could not do enough. Fab burgers on a lunch time, also a great grilled chicken dish here. On an evening the menu changes and you have to book, but it's well worth it - fajitas to die for!

The Italian 'Casa Bianca' was also fantastic. Hard to believe it was included in the AI option, as the steak I had was huge and cooked to perfection. I had this twice and was not disappointed. If you're going, you must eat at this restaurant!

We didn't eat at any of the other restuarants so can't comment, except to say we were put off the Stone Grill because it was so hot on an evening, and we'd heard that cooking your own food on a boiling hot stone in front of you was just too much heat, which we didn't fancy!

All the bars were great, The Cue (inside pool & snooker bar) was a great place to escape from the sun for an hour during the day. So cool in here and not usually busy. This is also where the computers are located.

The Piano bar was a big favourite. Lovely and cool inside, beautiful outside area with great views across the whole bay. The best place to be in the evening and had the most amazing bar staff, in particular Hussein who could not have done more for us. Drinks are brought to you without asking, they remember what you like and will make anything you ask for (and keep it within AI).

The Lobby Bar was a great place to cool down during the day and again had great views.

The Adult Bar is a hidden gem right at the far end of the complex near the adult pool. Here the AI cocktails are different and I recommend a Tom or John Collins!

The Sports Bar is lovely for a break from the sun if sunbathing on the beach.

The whole hotel complex is clean, tidy, very well maintained and beautifully decorated. We stayed at Tenerife Sensatori last year which was more luxurious, but you can tell that they are heading this way in Sharm, it's just a new hotel & things are yet to be done, but it doesn't take anything away from the experience and makes it exciting to go back and see what's changed!

I also went to the Spa a few times, such lovely staff and great location looking out across the bay. I had a pedicure and a foot massage (which was a bit more like torture haha but I should have read the description properly!).

Finallly the beach was so beautiful, white sand, clear sea with the most amazing fish and coral, lovely wooden cushioned sunbeds. waiters brining drinks as often as you'd like, really wonderful, like paradise.

All in all this is a beautiful hotel in a very beautiful location. If you're not happy here, then I doubt you would be happy anywhere!

A few tips:
Don't shop in the hotel it's very expensive, if you walk to the end of the hotel complex by the Block 1 swim ups there is a row of shops including a supermarket
The Tiran Diner has a different menu in the evening, there isn't a sample menu in reception as there is with the others so we didn't find this out until week 2
Tip the staff, their wages are low and they work non-stop and cannot do enough for you
The 'as real as it gets' tribute acts are amazing, do not miss them!
You can ask for bottles of water from any bar, no need to buy it
We never queued to book our restaurants - if you're happy eating at 9pm you won't have to queue, just go to a terminal when passing

Room tip: Block 1, Swim up sea view are the best rooms

Everything about this hotel was first class. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were excellent and the food was super.
The whole Sensatori experience is fantastic. Everything is available but not "in your face" like in so many places. The kids and adults activities are set out in a weekly diary so you know what's going on but you have to then go and seek it out but only if you want, there is no pushy animation team bothering you.
The choice of food in the buffet restaurant was excellent, the only annoying thing here was the people who thought it was a good idea to whizz small children in high chairs past the hot food areas! Also the waiters don't always get round to taking your drinks order, but fortunately there is plenty water on the tables. The a la carte restaurants are lovely and we found it reasonably easy to make a booking (without having to wait in the queues which formed just before the booking machines opened in the morning). Marhaba was superb and the staff there are really on the ball.
The pool areas are excellent, always clean - a spilt drink would be cleaned up within minutes and plenty of space around the pools. Towards the end of our stay we noticed loungers were being reserved earlier, but there was always plenty and the pool staff would make sure you found something. We travelled with children, but liked the fact that the pools were never crowded and noisy.
The kids club was great, especially for younger children with different activities timetabled for each day and even a sleepover!!! We were leaving just as the activities for older kids were starting which was a pity as our 12 year old would have loved to have had that type of activity throughout the holiday.
As for the entertainment, it was exceptional. Ryan and Sophie at Playhouse Live for the kids are brilliant and will no doubt end up on TV in the future. They have the perfect balance of entertaining the kids while keeping adults and older children involved - not your usual trash in any way. Entertainment for adults is also fabulous and Loose Chippings who do part of the Payhouse Live show are super and very professional in the stage shows they perform (along with Sophie) and also their singing in the piano bar. The pianist is brilliant too so if you don't want the show in the theatre, the more low-key piano bar is perfect.
Apart from the slow service in the bars, there is nothing negative to say about this hotel and we would go back there in a minute!
