I recently spent a week in at the Hilton Sharm Waterfalls. I cannot imagine a better experience. Every member of the staff (Yasser and Amira and all the Ahmeds behind the bars and Mohammed at the front desk) was friendly, accommodating and went out of their way to make sure every desire was met. The Animation Team (Katya, Daria, Irena, Olga and David) kept us constantly entertained with activities every night. The pools, the food, the daytime activities, the rooms were all outstanding. My only regret is that we did not stay longer. I will certainly be back.

My partner and I just got home from 10 days at this hotel/resort. I was a bit sceptical as before arrival, the reviews were starting to get slightly negative.. However as always I arrived with an open mind. When we arrived, there was an awful eggy smell, this occurred every day, at least twice, and can really turn your stomach!! Apparently, its where the water sprayed on the plants is recycled...Thw reception area/inside of the hotel is clean however in need of refurbishment to a 5* quality, everything is fairly dated. Reception staff are helpful however some are quite arrogant, and cracking a smile proved to be difficult.
Spent all of our time around the Chillax pool with the swim up bar, which made the holiday for us! Without that area within the hotel the overall rating of the hotel would be poor. The bar staff here (Ahmed el Lissy) were hilarious, always making jokes and making you feel very comfortable. They work extremely hard.
Our room was clean and spacious, however had two leaks in the air con unit which caused flooding in the our hallway/entrance. This was fixed very quickly, however shouldn't be expected from a 5* hotel.
The area around the hotel is very remote, and theres not too much to do. We stayed in Nabq bay last year and found the atmosphere outside the hotel, much much better!
The taxi driver from inside the hotel Mahmood was also amazing. Very good English, really helpful and always had fun when he was taking us out!!
Lastly, completely forgot his name but the guy who organises the trips was amazing! Even offered to take us out shopping so we didn't get any hassle, free of charge and in his own time! Good guy.
Some of the other staff were rude, unable to speak basic English, and not very intent on being helpful, for example, a woman working in the bar in the middle of the lobby was very inattentive and poor when serving my partner. In fact, completely blanked him for over 10 minuties whilst serving other guests of different nationalities..
All in all, if the chillax bar, and the staff mentioned were not at the resort, the holiday would have been very different...
Definitley room for improvement, if your looking for an incredible holiday, do your research as just having a good name like 'Hilton' does not mean you are getting 5* standards.
(According to locals, Rixos Hotel in Nabq Bay is one of the best in the area :-) )

We are sincerely sorry that we were not able to make your stay a big success as we have done with thousands of other regular guests as well as the first-time visitors. My wife and I have just returned from eleven nights in this hotel. The weather was terrific. The hotel was a little disappointing. It was clean and there was a lot of attention being paid to the day to day running, but it appears that the hotel is in need of a major overhaul. Upon arrival, we were shown to a room that had a tatty bathroom including a broken toilet seat and various cracks and signs of age and wear. Not what we expected or felt that we had paid for. Following a complaint, we were immediately moved to another room with a sea view. This room was a lot better, although the extractor fan in the bathroom never switched off and the toilet cistern trickled water through the night.
The snorkelling from the floating jetty is very good and we saw a vast array of fish. It tended to get very crowded later in the day but early mornings were perfect. The pools were a little rough round the edges and in need of some new grout, but lovely and large with plenty of sunbeds for everyone, even those who don't wish to get up at dawn!
The food was pretty dreary and quite dull. We expect to find different foods on our travels and try to embrace such things, but there was very little boneless meat on the menu-in fact not a lot of meat at all. There was the odd "BBQ" night, but for the most part the food was quite repetitive. The exception to this was Shish Bish, which was great fun and we were very happy with the experience.
In all, this hotel does some things very well, but we feel that in order to make it the kind of place that we would stay in again, it could really do with some TLC and a good amount of money being spent.
