Petra Camp is the best budget option in Nuweiba. It has good location and good sea, but here, like everywhere in Nuweiba, there's a little trick for tourists. You will take a simple and economic wood bungalow with a/c but, due to the isolation of tarabin, you will have to eat on their own restaurant, with high prices ( referred to egyptian standard) and high contact with the camping owners. You can expect to pay 40/50 euros for couple, while the bungalow costs 10 euros.
But the restaurant is good, and meals too.

I stay there since 10 years, sometimes twice a year There you have a family atmosfere. Simple but calm, clean and cheap, When you have a wish, Mahmoud the manager will organize it, It is the wrong place for people who want european comfort then go to the Hilton Hotel. The tours we make everytime when i come are always Highlights. i have there a lot of friends and for me it is like a second Home.Everybody who was been one time there comes back, this says enough..

We enjoyed it here 3 years back and are enjoying it this time even more

Mohamed has made such progress in his cooking, delicious food would it be Spanish omelette shakshouka Greek salad spaghetti a shake or fresh juice
We haven't managed to try it all

Very welcoming service, comfortable and friendly
The place is made up with lots of taste

Very quiet but pack a mosquito net

Room tip: They have various types of bungalows, family one is so cosy with heating too!

I recently stayed at Petra Camp for 6 nights but then transferred to Nakhil Inn.
The huts are air-conditioned and good value for the price..the let down for me was that the bathroom was not cleaned while I was there and the choice of food was limited.
Having said that the manager Mahmoud tried to do his best and was very approachable. It has lovely bedouin style seating areas right by the sea and is a relaxing place to be...........But for me it was the cleanliness that let it down.

Room tip: choose a hut with A/C
