Stayed here three nights and liked the place. This is a comfortable little hotel well located in Puerto Ayora. Very good price, balcony outside the room, hot water and shelves to put you clothes and stuff. Downstairs had good kitchen you can use and fridge for your beer water ect. Only complaint I have is noise from air conditioner. At $35 it’s good budget option. Good location.

Our room was comfortable with a large bed and a single bed but these left little room for anything else and you could barely open the door to get out. The bathroom was very smelly as it had no natural ventilation. Shower was just okay. The communal areas are very tired and in need of re-decoration. Central location.
Had to find this hostel last minute as our original plan fell through, and I'm glad we did. The owner was so kind and helpful and offered my group of 12 our own beds because she had extra availability. The location is great, just a short walk to the port and the main street for restaurants. Rooms had AC and super comfortable beds, and free drinking water was offered downstairs. Would 100% stay again.
We (unfortunately) stayed here for three nights on our trip in santa cruz. We stayed in room 6. The room was spacious, and sparsely furnished (no table, just two beds and a small wardrobe), with a small bathroom. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting: it smelt strongly like stale urine (!!!), there was no hot water, no water pressure, and the shower drain was blocked with by hair and debris from the previous guests. The sink was leaking. We had no towels (upon asking at the reception we each received one, in a rather ratty/frayed state). The room and bathroom were very shabby, with cracks and dirty walls, and the door was difficult to open and close.
The hotel looks really nice on the outside with its bougainvillea and flowers, but do not be fooled! We would never recommend this hotel, nor stay here again.
The owner of the Crossman is very kind and accommodating. The room we stayed in was clean and simple. There was AC and a TV (which we didn't use). Breakfast was included in our stay. It was pretty typical with no frills and maybe could use a few tweaks to improve but it was sufficient. Location is good. Not a far walk from town and easy access to the road that takes you to Tortuga Bay. Also close to the street where all of the restaurants are located. We would stay there again.
The location of Hotel Crossman was great, we were a block from the open air restaurant strip where we ate every night, near the entrance to the Tortuga Bay hike, and just a couple blocks from the port. The rooms were still quiet because we were half a block from one of the main streets. The wifi worked well for Galapagos and the AC in the rooms were all perfect. You have to tell the management when you want them to turn on hot water, but that too is typical for the Galapagos. The management was really friendly and spoke some English. They were really accommodating for our large group (13 people) and also extremely helpful with suggestions of where to go in Puerto Ayora. We ate breakfast at the hotel every day, which was a traditional Ecuadorian breakfast (coffee or tea, eggs, bread, a fruit bowl, and juice). It was really convenient but they do not serve other meals at the hotel. I would absolutely recommend Hotel Crossman to friends and go back in the future.
