Excellent location on the beach just out of town, close enough to walk to the fresh market for fruit, vegetables and the bakery, one street past the market. Great helpful people and a friendly small town with a lot to experience right here! Best part of our Galapagos trip yet.

La Jungla was perfect in every way for our retreat — Abel & his staff are terrific, and did everything to make us feel welcome. Being “off the beaten path” but still right on the beach is magical.
I would only stay here if I returned.
We normally stay at national chain hotels. This place is a bit rustic but it is perfect. So close to the beach you hear the waves crash. Ask for the room above the office. Very private and amazing views. On a map this looks like it may be out of the way but is just a few minute walk to the town center. They offer free breakfast. The staff and owner were very friendly.
I spent a week here for a yoga retreat and had a fantastic stay. The location is great- it's close to town but a few steps away, which makes for a more private feel. I had a sea-view room, which was incredible to wake up to every morning. Direct access to essentially a private beach was a big plus. This is the closest hotel to one of the more popular surf breaks on Isabella. The staff and service are amazing- they even made me a special birthday breakfast. I will definitely be staying again! Nice view, hot shower, great staff (thanks Abel), close to the beach. A little far from town, especially if the weather is not cooperating. Lock your valuables. Recommend renting a bike for your stay.
Isabela was the final stop of our Galapagos Trip and we were so glad it was. The island is beautiful and relaxing and our stay at La Jungla was key in our positive experience there!
The Manager Abel was very friendly and welcoming upon our arrival. He even arranged a Sierra Negra tour for us for the next day! The rooms were clean and bright with great AC and great showers. We had a beautiful ocean view and were able to fall asleep listening to the sounds of the waves. The only downside was when we left our outside light on when we went out at night , there were bugs all over the door but there is nothing the hotel could do about that-just something to keep in mind if you’re staying!
Kitchen was nice-there was a water dispenser with cold, room temperature and boiling water on demand which was great.
The hotel is a bit of a hike from the pier (which can feel longer due to the heat) but the walk itself is nice and the hotel is very close to the tortoise sanctuary, boardwalk and the start of the trail to the Wall of Tears. We found this perfect for us but some may want to be closer to the pier/Concha de la Perla.
