I had only jusst finished writing my review on "Paul" on the boulevard Marseille, in Zone 4, with the wish that they would open one in Deux Plateaux, and a few days later, drove past what used to be Pako, but which has been spledidly rebadged and reprofiled "Paul".

The food is ok and edible, but the location and parking is FREAKING RIDICULOUS AND IRRATING. The owner should have thought about a better location. I grew up on food from "Patisserie Abidjanaise"; which is the trailblazer in the Patisserie sector of C.I. Paco was essentially birthed from that!!! LOL

As a quick place to stop, this place is not bad. You can get patisserie, bread, ice cream, to take home. As a restaurant, the place seems attractive and the fast food menu ok, but the service is very slow, hard to order and get served.

We stoppped for a quick bite at 10 am. There was nothing quick about it. We got a diet coke, cafe au lait and a pizza. We did not get our items until 11:00 and had to leave by 11:15 with a chase down of the waiter who obviously looked overtaxed. We did see lots of business meetings going on and it is set back form the road a bit for some noise reduction of the very busy rue des jardins. The pizza was average. The cafe au lait pots were good for 2 cups though.

I could not possibly be the only one to have noticed that the place is hygienically challenged. Floors and client stations are just plain dirty. The items on sale are also of very poor taste and quality. I truly cannot understand what all the hypeI Is about. There is a much better tea house just a block down the road.
