We had an amazing stay here! The location is on the far end of one of the towns on Providencia, a few hundred meters from the main road. All of the rooms have a balcony or veranda overlooking the beatiful garden, where you can spot hummingbirds hovering near the flowers and lizards basking in the sunlight on the palm trees. The place is also walking distance from our favourite beach on the island, where you can find Roland's reggae bar.

Cesar gave us a lot of suggestions on what we could do on the island and almost every morning he helped us make phone calls to arrange boat tours and make restaurant reservations.
Doris cooks great eggs for breakfast and alsways welcomed us back home with: ¿quieres un jugo? (fresh juice!!)

We had a magnificent stay at Yellow Home. Yhe owners went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The breakfasts were delicious. The rooms are spacious and clean. Location wise, even though they are not right on the beach they are located very close to one of the nicer beaches on the island. I will be cominf back and hopefully staying at Yellow home once again

Doris and Cesar serve as both incredible hosts and travel guides to the island's wonders. They provided us with a home-cooked breakfast every morning, a scooter rental for island mobility, and referred us to the best third-party excursion experiences (scuba diving, private snorkeling tour, etc.) If you want to explore everything that Providencia has to offer while staying at a home away from home, Yellow Home is the place for you!

Doris and Cesar were wonderful hosts. Cesar took the time to walk us through all the options for activities in the island, and Doris was like a mom in Providencia. She cooked delicious breakfast everyday, gave us advice on where to eat, what to expect everywhere and what to pay attention too.

We wanted to have a scooter and they have their own which you can rent for a daily fee (totally worth it as it gives you the freedom to explore the island at your pace. If you prefer to drive a golf cart, they can make the arrangements. As they can do for basically everything.)

We wanted to go snorkeling and they arranged for us to go with a veteran sailor called Bambi, who took us to Las Margaritas, Crab Key and Morgan’s head. Bambi jumped into the water with us and took us to see sea turtles, lobsters, rays and a bunch of beautiful marine life. Doris and Bambi’s wife are friends and she cooks on demand for guests.... make sure you book a night with her... her Lobster is amazing.

The Yellow Home is located in the middle of the tropical forest and Doris has a beautiful garden with local species (bromeliads, orchids, etc). It’s secluded, yet close to everything (you can walk to Manzanillo beach or El Pico from the hotel). The pics I attached are the view from our window. Doris has hummingbird feeders and they come in numbers and fly all around the house.

While we were there Doris would pick up fruits from nearby trees (mangos, guavas, etc) and make fresh juice for breakfast.

Book them directly through their website. Very easy and fast.

Keep in mind this is an island with limited resources... don’t expect a 5 star resort. If you’re looking for that, go to San Andrés. This is a more chill, down to earth experience.

100% recommended

We had a lovely stay at Yellow Home. Doris and Cesar are great, they gave us the best tips and referred us to awesome local people for our tours.

The house is beautiful, clean, and has a lovely view to a natural reserve.

I really liked the location, just the right distance away from the main street makes it super peaceful and quiet and yet very accessible! The Manzanillo beach and the starting point of the "Peak" trail (two of the main in-land attractions) are both at a walkable distance from the hotel.
