“Excellent food, whether authentic or not”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 February 2012

Two couples ate there on a Sunday night, so the restaurant was not particularly busy. The food was excellent, as confirmed by four clean plates and compliments to the waitress. I cannot say that any of us are experienced with creole food (though I have dined in N.O. frequently), but we know good restaurant food. We had the ribs, ravioli, etouffe and BBQ shrimp. We found the degree of hot spices to be about right.

The drinks were fine and the prices were consistent with full-service restaurants.

The service was friendly, prompt and professional.

The interior was very attractive - nice enough for a special occasion.

“Not worth the hype”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 December 2011

This place tries hard, service is OK but the foo has been putrid.
Been there 2x, will go to the bar for an Abita (local beer and a appetizer) but not for dinner.

“A Total Dining FLOP!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 November 2011

T&P was highly recommended and the night started off seating 6 of us 35 minutes after our reservation time. The drinks were very weak. When we finally sat, the service was average, but the waitress brought bad news when she revealed they were all out of chicken, ribs and shrimp. They were even out of herbed butter for he cornbread. So with that, the entrees and appies we did order were just OK.

“Glad we kept our reservation ...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 September 2011

We celebrated my wife's birthday with a family dinner at Trinity and the Pope. ... 4 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 child. We had made the reservation and then did some checking on the internet for some recent reviews -- having never been there before. After reading the less than favorable reviews we decided to keep the reservation -- we're all glad that we did. We had a great meal, great experience with the wait staff (thanks Tara & John) and are looking forward to a return visit.

“Had great expectations, disappointed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 September 2011

Very nice vibe upon entry, nice decor and comfortable, great old restored building. Bar area with firerplace is attractive, the food was somewhat disappointing. Had chicken fingers with orzo appetizer, almost too spicy to finish, our lips were numb. Had the shrimp special (the louisianna getaway) the shrimp were cooked nicely but flavor was bland. The ribs sounded better then they tasted, a little fatty and lacked in flavor. The ambrosia salad was the highlight, nice portion three of us shared it, good flavor. We were seated at 6:55 pm but if you arrive before 6:45 all dishes are discounted. Because of the atmosphere, I may consider another visit.
