This hotel is a really good option for Cartagena, as the location is ideal: just off from the old city and close to the best clubs in town, service is also good and it's confortable. I had a great stay there.

This hotel is the dirtiest place I've ever stayed in. Sheets had blood stains and hair on them. Ensuite hadn't been cleaned either and there was a smell of piss! Stayed for three nights and room wasn't cleaned once, even after request. The only thing going for it is location.

The price was really not in line w how not great this place was. We were charged extra for having more people in the rooms. But one of the rooms had a serious invasion of flying ants. The guy at the desk gave us ant spray... I guess the solved the ant problem but then my friends had to breath insecticide. The area is a party spot, it was fun sitting on the balcony watching the madness below but the diesel fumes also made that a bit unbearable. Mainly I think the place would have been alright if the price was more reasonable and there weren't ants. That's all.

We booked this hostel blind on the basis of lonely planet recommendations and also the fact that it was the only place with availability for our group of 11( there is a reason why it had availability at this time. This would be my last choice for accommodation if I was in Getsemini again. The rooms are tiny and the nearest comparator I can think of is a sweat box. The beds are filthy and the shower area does not bear describing. I don't expect luxury in hostels but I do expect cleanliness and that a property be as described. There are no common areas here really and those that there are have litter and building materials strewn everywhere. I have posted pictures as I believe tourists should know what they are getting themselves in for if they book here...

An average hostel compared to many we've stayed in. We arrived after a long journey from La Paz & were looking forward to the "Deluxe" room we had splurged a bit for, only to find this was a tiny room with a horrible noisy ceiling fan, no door to the bathroom, and a window that opened into the hallway. We stayed one night then, after some bargaining from my husband, they agreed to move us into a room with AC for the same price. There is a kitchen but it's pretty greasy so we were put off using it. The balcony would be a nice place to sit & have breakfast except it's covered in beer cans & fag butts from the night before. On the up side, the rooms were clean, when we had AC it was COLD, there was free coffee all day & it was in a good location for walking to the old town and around Getsemani.
