The name of the Lemon Inn can be confusing since the hotel also goes by its pinyin name, Ning Meng, plus there is a ground floor lobby with the name, Ideal Hotel. Check-in for me was done on the 15th floor in a small obscure office - the hotel is in a high rise of about 35 floors. There are almost no english speakers working in he hotel which can be challenging, but but I found all staff to be friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well located. My room, which was on the 23rd floor, was quite standard, clean, relatively large, quiet, had good furnishings, and a small balcony overlooking a small active street. Being in such a large building, and with only 4 small elevators meant that there were sometimes long waits(up to 10 minutes) between rides in cosy conditions.

Room Tip: lower rooms faster elevator rides

I don´t have anything bad about hotel, it´s nice cheap option, with great location, near to the square and not so much far from shopping center. its only one question, there is apart hotel, therefore a people in the building look strange, some of them like prostitutes and clients. In the same way, one night in 3:00 AM i heard huge knock on the door, i hadn´t got any idea what it could be. So, be careful

I found the Chengdu Lemon Inn after an exasperated search of over 20 hotels, none of which had availability for the time period I was searching for. Finally, I found the Lemon Inn after reading the decent reviews for price and location. The price was decent (around $35 USD a night), and the location was really excellent in the center of town a short walk to my government meetings, which was great. However, I was not thrilled with the cleanliness (or lack thereof) of the room. It was clear that the floor was not mopped before I arrived - there were clumps of hair, dirt streaks, and general stickiness of the floor. The desk was covered in grey/black/brown grime. I arrived too late to have anyone clean, but when I called in the morning to have someone come to clean, the maids complained and tried to tell me that the dirt marks from the desk couldn't be removed. I asked her to scrub with cleaning solution, and lo and behold - they came off! The couch was also filthy, and the teacups they provided had used water in them, so I steered clear from using them. The internet also did not work when I arrived - this also warranted another phone call. I likely won't stay here again.
