Never knew about this place during the 2.5 yrs i lived in qingdao, and commuted daily to huangdao for work. During my last 2 business trips back to Huangdao, been to this place 3 times.
In reality, i would rate a 4. But they get 5 for being best in Huangdao.
It is basically an upscale teppanyaki place with a la carte and set menus. I did not try a la carte. Set menu's start at rmb 300, and go up to 1200. Yes pricey. For 500 per head, you get a 10+ course (i lost count) including wagyu beef from a shanghainese farm. There is ox tail soup, sushi, foei gras, cod, big prawn, beef, veges, again, i lost count.
You get a personal cook in a private room, whther dining for 2 or for 10.
Without going into too much detail, this is pretty much the best upscale restaurant in huangdao imho. I used to always entertain in qingdao city, if i had known this place, would have entertained here everytime as there is just no where upscale and good to go in huangdao.
Definitely worth ttrying out if looking for a place without going to the city.
Oh, not sure about whether they are English speaking. Reservations made by local colleagues, and menus i saw were all Chinese.
