We had two triple rooms, Each triple room was equipped with 3 queen beds, a desk and chair, and a bathroom attached. Most importantly, air conditioned. The service wasn't fantastic, especially for youth hostel in China.

However, the location of this hostel was good. It's located in a local neighbourhood. Lots of good local food. The Shao Bing near the hostel is a must try, we had that every single day until the day we left SuZhou. Besides, the grilled chicken and duck beside the Shao Bing was good too.

We booked 2 triple rooms, with AC and attached bathroom. The triple room comes with 3 queensize beds, a desk and a chair. Very basic yet cozy. The room cost us RMB150 per night per room on weekdays, but surcharge RMB20 on weekends.
I love the location of this Youth Hostel. It is at the edge of TaoHuaWu Street, where all the local stays. You can blend in to their daily life, visit their markets, crossing the water and alleys..... There's convenient shop next to the youth hostel, and there's a lot of great local food stalls along the same street. You just have to try the "Shao Bing", freshly bake traditional biscuits. Heavenly!
Oh, must mention this: the workers in the restaurant is very friendly and helpful! We came back late one night, wish to have dinner at the restaurant but the kitchen is already close. Though with a big sign of "no out side food", the waitress suggested us to buy some cup noodles from the convenient shop next door, and boil us a kettle of hot water. We were so glad as we were so tired that no one wish to leave the hostel in a cold winter night to search for food anymore.

Room with AC and attached bathroom for 140 RMB. (Room 410).

Taohuawu YH is well located and very close to Remin Lu, were there are a lot of buses to everywhere in the city. The room was very simple, just a double bed with a bathroom and a desk. However, the environment in the ground floor was nice. There is a pool, a small pub, books, magazines, board games and two pc's with free internet. There is a small supermarket next to the YH and a lot of restaurants in the same street.

We recommend the visit to Tongli Village, which is very close to Suzhou.
